• What can be cooked from squid: quick and tasty

    The interior door serves to divide the space in the room, and also provides sound insulation in a private house or apartment. In addition, the door leaf is important detail the interior, therefore, must correspond to the style of decoration. Because installation work are quite expensive, the question arises of how to perform the installation correctly interior doors do it yourself. The answer is detailed step by step instructions set out on this page.

    Dimensions and equipment

    By the way of opening, the doors are folding, sliding and swing. The latter are the most popular, since they are structurally the simplest and fairly easy to install. They are presented in a large number of modifications. By the way of opening, the following are distinguished:

    • two-leaf and single-leaf;
    • left- and right-sided.

    Step 3: Installing the box and hanging the canvas

    The box must be installed in a pre-prepared opening. The hinge stand should be leveled first with a plumb line or level. It is imperative to check it from all sides. Then top bar and the rack must be spread with wedges. The stand will only be exposed when it is upright.
    Next, the second rack is wedged. Be sure to check the horizontal part of the box.

    The old way- the side posts must be drilled through. For this, holes for dowels are initially made in the wall. The box must be fixed to the wall with self-tapping screws at least 150 mm long.

    Old way fasteners

    In order to fix the box in the opening in a hidden way, you can use metal plates, which are usually used for installing plasterboard structures. Most often, these plates are used in conjunction with anchors. In this case, it is worth choosing the number of fasteners in accordance with the expected load.

    This is what the mount looks like

    The use of such plates is a non-standard method and is possible only in the absence of fine finishing... It is recommended to grind out a section of the wall in order to subsequently putty the fasteners.

    It remains to hang the door on the frame. After that, you need to carry out the final adjustment of the box. The padlock post must then fit under the door so that it does not protrude over the wall. It is worth remembering that in order to preserve the integrity of the box and the canvas, you must first drill several holes for the screws.

    Step 4: foaming

    After fixing the canvas, you need to foam the gaps between the box and the edges of the opening. The foam should be fed neatly, in layers, while feeding from the top so that it does not come out. Then the door will have to be closed and not touched for a certain time in order for the foam to dry. The approximate drying time is 1 day.

    If the composition accidentally falls on the canvas, immediately remove it with a clean dry cloth, dried fragments are cleaned with effective ones.

    Step 5: Installing the lock and handles in the door leaf

    The most popular today are handles with a built-in lock. The order of work is as follows:

    1. Mark one meter from the floor. The handle mechanism should be attached so that the mark is visible on the top of the hole.
    2. Drill holes in the web from the end. The edges of the holes should then be cut off with a chisel to align the hole.
    3. Insert the mechanism into the hole. In this case, the lock must be aligned, and then fixed with self-tapping screws. The plank on the lock should be outlined with a pencil for cutting the veneer, then the mechanism should be removed. Along the outlined contour, you need to select a site to determine the thickness of the key strip. This is done by using a chisel.
    4. Drill holes for the latch and handles. You need to attach the lock to the canvas from different sides, align it and mark it. Holes must be made on both sides and they must not be through.
    5. Remove the formed shavings and install the handles.

    Step 6: Install the expansion strips

    A plank is called a plank approximately 2 meters long, 250 mm wide, and no more than 3 cm thick. The plank should be used during the installation of interior doors if the wall is thicker than the door frame.

    The beams for the boxes are made in a standard width of about 70 mm. It can be expanded according to the thickness of the opening with an extension. This will allow you to more clearly align the box and walls. There is a groove for the bar on the bar. First, it is necessary to measure the distance to the edge of the wall, starting from the depth of the groove.

    The addon can be installed in different ways:

    • into the groove in the box;
    • with cutting a groove in the absence of a finished one;
    • attachment of the add-on from the inside of the bar in the absence of a groove, the box is installed together with the add-on;
    • fastening of an extension in the form of "P";
    • if the extension is not too wide and there is no groove in the box, the bar should be drilled and screwed to the box.

    The plank is sawn into several parts with a circular saw to obtain several extensions of the required dimensions. You need to prepare one short bar and two vertical ones. Check out our easy step-by-step guide to.

    Step 7: Fastening the platbands

    During the installation of the platbands, the box must be positioned flush with the opening on the front side. To connect the platbands, you must first attach the vertical bar to the box and place the mark 0.5 cm higher, retreating from the crossbar of the box. This mark will act as the cutting edge. In the same way, you need to mark the slice on the other side.

    Installation of an entrance Finnish door and its operation

    In order to properly install the input Finnish door follow directions, be precise with sizing and checking results.
    Read the instructions carefully before proceeding with the installation.

    Installation steps front door:

    Stage 2.
    Secure the box in the mounting opening using wedges, inserting them above the mounting holes of the box so that the side of the box with the hinges is exactly vertical (both parallel and perpendicular to the wall plane). Use two wedges each fixing hole in the box, insert one wedge from the outside, the other from the inside. Check with a spirit level that the box is level.
    Make sure there is enough space around the perimeter of the box for the seal.
    and fix the hinged side of the box with the fixing screws to the wall.

    Stage 4.
    Make sure the threshold is horizontal. Align the side of the box with the lock striker (both parallel and perpendicular to the plane of the wall). Fix the box to the wall with fixing screws.

    Stage 6.
    Does the door close tightly?
    Closing tightness can be adjusted by adjusting the striker.

    Stage 7.
    Tightly seal the gap between the wall and the box by filling it mineral wool... Then coat the gap with a sealing elastic compound for vapor-waterproofing the joint. Do not use polyurethane foam as it can deform when it expands. door frame and complicate possible subsequent door adjustments.

    Instructions for the maintenance of external doors

    Painted products.
    The products are painted with moisture-resistant paints that meet the requirements for scratch resistance, wear resistance and appearance surfaces that withstand well many household chemicals, grease and solvents.

    Cleaning.
    Use regular detergents(non-alkaline) such as dishwashing liquid. To remove mold, use a specific mold remover. Do not use detergents that can scratch or dissolve the painted surface. Avoid, for example, using solvents, abrasive powders, metal fiber sponges, etc. Moisten the surface from bottom to top, but wash from top to bottom. Otherwise, drip streaks may appear on the door. Wipe dry.

    Service.
    A normal cleaning is usually sufficient, as long as the door is not damaged or abnormally worn. To maintain the gloss, it is recommended, however, after washing, to rub the door surfaces, for example with car wax.

    Coloring.
    It is best to touch up minor damage with a brush of suitable color and gloss level with alkyd or acrylate enamel intended for outdoor use. First check the compatibility of the paint with the original paint on a small surface, for example by painting a small area on the edge of the door on the hinge side.

    In this video, you will learn how to properly install interior doors from step-by-step instructions with your own hands.

    • The work of installing interior doors is quite complicated and requires accurate measurements, adherence to certain technologies and good experience in this area. Therefore, the question of how much it costs to install interior doors has an unambiguous answer - not cheap.
    • Therefore, the alternative is to install the door yourself, but only after a detailed study of the basic installation technique. The first thing to prepare is the materials and tools. This is a door with a frame and hinges, dowels and self-tapping screws, anchors and wooden wedges, polyurethane foam; drill, level, tape measure, hacksaw, goniometer.
    • After dismantling old door and taking measurements, you pick up a new door. Cut in the hinges (usually two or three), paying attention to the position of the handle and the side of the door opening. A protractor is useful for marking. Next, proceed to planting the door frame. The box must be aligned horizontally and vertically and secured in the opening. The door leaf is tried on the box several times.
    • If necessary, the box "sits" on the foam. All visible gaps are filled with foam. The last step is the trimming. During door installation important point are the clearances that have standard values. Top and side - at least 2 mm, bottom - 6-12 mm.
    • According to their type of movement, the doors are divided into sliding, swing and folding. The easiest to install are swing doors. Sliding and folding doors have various modifications and design features, so if you are not experienced enough, it is better to entrust the installation of this type to professionals.
    • Installation of interior doors usually requires the participation of two people and the whole procedure from preparing the doorway to installing the fittings does not tolerate haste, neglect of fittings and additional measurements. Only in this case, the door will be installed efficiently and serve for a long time.

    Okosyachka (sowing) for installing a door in a wooden house or log house from a bar or log

    Installation of doors and windows in a wooden house differs significantly from installation in houses built of stone materials and frame houses... Everyone knows the phenomenon of shrinkage in wooden house from a bar or log. To compensate for the negative effects of this phenomenon, before installing the door or window, an additional wooden frame is installed in the opening, the so-called (cage, casing or window). The casing is not rigidly attached to the frame structure, which allows the window or door to "slide" in the opening, thus compensating for shrinkage deformations wooden walls... More details in this video. Our company offers you correct installation doors in wooden houses and log cabins in compliance with this technology

    Door block is not a load-bearing building element, therefore, loads from building structures should not be transferred to it. Leave a gap of at least 5 mm between the frame and the building structure.

    INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

    1. Unpack the door frame.
    2. On a flat surface that excludes damage to the product, collect the elements of the box, choosing the desired side of the opening of the canvas. Check that the edges of the crossbeam and the upright are in the same plane, and in the place of their contact the gap does not exceed 1 mm. Drill four through holes on the back of the crossbar, and then connect the box elements with self-tapping screws. For a 4.2 x 70 self-tapping screw, we recommend a drill with a diameter of 3.5 mm.
    3. Insert the frame into the doorway and secure with wedges (at least three points on each side).
    4. Using a level, strictly vertically hinge rack using a punch and fixing screws, fix it using spacers between the opening and the box at the attachment points.
    5. Loosen the hinge fixing screw and hang the door leaf.
    6. Close the curtain, and install the post from the side of the lock so that the curtain adheres around the entire perimeter, providing an even gap, and fix the post in this position.
    7. Open and close the canvas several times, making sure that it is installed correctly and that nothing interferes when closing. Right installed door(when opened at 45 °) should not spontaneously open or close.
    8. Finally, fasten the hinges to the self-tapping screws and install the fittings.
    9. Fill the installation gap between the box and the wall with low expansion polyurethane foam(when using foam, follow the manufacturer's instructions).
    10. It is recommended to install the platband only after the polyurethane foam has completely dried. For the period of foam drying (about 12 hours), the door should be kept closed at all times.

    CHANGING THE SIDE OF THE LEAF

    A blank canvas of standard height is both right and left. This is achieved due to the vertical symmetry of the canvas.

    To change the direction of opening the door, you must:

    • unscrew the fastening screws and pull the lock case out of the door, turn it 180 ° (so that the lock tongue is on top, above the bolt), set the lock back in this position;
    • Pull the bolt out of the lock body by 3 mm using pliers and turn it 180 °.

    Tools required for installation: a screwdriver with a set of bits, a perforator or impact drill, a level, a hacksaw for wood, a measuring tape.
