    Ingredients

    • 2 cups semolina
    • 2 eggs
    • 1 glass of sour cream
    • 180 grams of butter
    • 150 grams frozen or 200 grams fresh cherries
    • 1 cup granulated sugar
    • 1/2 cup flour
    • 1 teaspoon baking powder (can be replaced with slaked soda)

    We also need a detachable baking dish with a diameter of 23 cm and 20 grams of butter to grease the mold.

    How to cook manna with cherries

    Remove the butter from the refrigerator to soften. Thaw the cherries to drain off excess juice. Remove pits if using fresh cherries.

    Beat eggs with granulated sugar. Add softened butter, sour cream, flour and mix with a mixer.

    Add baking powder and semolina. If you're using baking soda instead of baking powder, add it to the batter just before baking. Leave the dough for 30-50 minutes for the semolina to swell and soften. It is better to use fine semolina, then it will swell faster.

    Grease a baking dish with butter and lay out the dough.

    Press the thawed cherries lightly into the dough.

    Bake manna with cherries in an oven preheated to a temperature of 180 - 200 degrees Celsius for at least half an hour. Check readiness with a wooden stick.

    Cherry manna can be served both for a dinner party and for evening tea in a warm family circle.

    Step 1: preparing the cherries.

    To begin with, we take the right amount of cherries, if frozen without pits, just print the packaging, put the berries in a deep plate and leave in this form for about 30-40 minutes so that excess liquid is thawed and glass from them, it is not needed at all in the cake! If the cherry is fresh, then we rinse it, remove the bones with a pin, send it to a clean dish for the same time and let the excess juice drain off.

    Step 2: prepare the dough.

    After that, pour semolina into a deep bowl, fill it with kefir, mix them with a silicone kitchen spatula until smooth and leave to swell for 30 minutes. After the required time has elapsed, preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius and cover the heat-resistant or non-stick baking dish with a sheet of baking paper. Then, using a whisk or mixer, beat the chicken eggs with sugar in a separate bowl until fluffy.

    Then pour the resulting mixture into a bowl with swollen semolina. Add vanilla sugar, baking powder and sifted wheat flour there. We mix these products until smooth, as a result, you should get a dough of medium thickness without lumps. If it’s too runny, don’t worry, the cereal will absorb all the excess during baking.

    Step 3: form a manna with cherries.

    Now pour the semolina dough into the prepared mold and level with a silicone spatula. After that, we spread the thawed berries on its surface, this can be done in an artistic disorder, in the form of a pattern, rows or whatever you like.

    Step 4: bake the manna with cherries.

    Then we put the dish with the still raw dessert in the preheated oven for 30–35 minutes. We check the readiness of the cake with a wooden toothpick, match or skewer. Just insert its end into the baking pulp and take it out. If the stick is wet - bake it! If it is dry, we put on kitchen oven mitts on our hands, remove the mold from the oven and place it on a cutting board previously placed on the countertop.

    We cool our product to room temperature. Then, using a fine mesh sieve, sprinkle the manna with powdered sugar. Then we cut it into portions with a sharp kitchen knife, pry them with a metal kitchen spatula, put the yummy on plates and taste it forward!

    Step 5: serve the manna with cherries.

    Mannik with cherries is served at room temperature. If desired, sprinkle it with powdered sugar, pour over it with honey, sugar syrup, or decorate it with whipped cream or cream before serving. Such an airy and delicious instant dessert will decorate any table! Enjoy!
    Bon Appetit!

    The cake tastes rather sweet, so the amount of sugar can be adjusted;

    Very often, vanilla sugar is replaced with liquid vanilla extract (1 teaspoon) or pure vanilla (on the tip of a knife);

    If you don't have baking paper, use parchment paper. Or simply grease the bottom and inner sides of the sides of the mold with a piece of butter or margarine, crush a layer of fat with wheat flour and then pour the dough into the prepared dish;

    An ideal substitute for kefir is yogurt without fillers, and baking powder is baking soda (1/2 teaspoon);

    In the same way, you can prepare a manna with any frozen or fresh berries and fruits.

    Mannik with cherries on kefir

    In the summer season, you should definitely try juicy manna with cherries, which can be created in your kitchen in 1 hour, without spending money on expensive products. The pastry tastes like a wet cake, it is not dry, but porous and insanely tasty, with a pronounced sour cherry.

    Very often, chefs bake a dessert at a high temperature, thereby preventing it from baking inside, and get baked goods that are colorful around the edges, but moist inside. To prevent this from happening, the baking temperature should not be higher than 180C, and the baking time should not be less than 35 minutes!

    • 300 g ripe or frozen cherries
    • 50 g granulated sugar for syrup
    • 1 tbsp. kefir of any fat content
    • 0.5 tbsp. wheat flour
    • 1 tbsp. semolina
    • 0.5 tsp baking powder
    • 80 g granulated sugar
    • 3 pinches of salt
    • 50 g butter
    • 3 chicken eggs

    1. Immediately pour kefir of the selected fat content into a deep container and stir in semolina. Let it swell for 20 minutes. If this is not done, the semolina will “tear” our dessert during baking!

    2. Clean the cherries from cuttings and seeds, after rinsing in water. Pour it into a saucepan and add sugar. We will not add citric acid, since cherries already contain sourness. We heat the contents of the container on the stove for 7-10 minutes, until the cherry becomes soft and releases all its juice.

    3. Divide the eggs into the bowl of a food processor, adding granulated sugar and salt to the bowl. Beat them for 3-5 minutes into a lush foam.

    4. Add soft butter at room temperature or ghee, wheat flour, baking powder. Mix gently for 1-2 minutes.

    5. Strain the cherry from the juice through a strainer.

    - very tasty, juicy and sweet cake. It is very good after cooling down completely, so do not rush to try it straight from the oven, give it time to "brew". While there is cherry, be sure to try it. Mannik with cherries is a budget recipe, economical, especially in season. Although I have already baked it again, this time using the frozen cherries. If you will cook with frozen cherries, know that you do not need to defrost it first for this pie, put it on the pie just like that, frozen. Mannik with cherries is liked by lovers of contrasts - sweet, crumbly dough and sour, juicy berries.
