• What can you cook from squid: quick and tasty

    Useful Tips

Plastic products are used everywhere because they require less investment to create than products made from other materials.

However, discarded plastic can take hundreds or even thousands of years to decompose, so it is very important to recycle or eliminate plastic altogether.

The second option is very difficult to implement today, so processing comes to the fore. Plastic can be donated to special factories for its processing, or you can make useful things out of it.

In this collection, you will learn how to plastic bottles do various useful things for home and garden.

    1. Do-it-yourself ottoman from plastic bottles step by step

    You will need:

    Plastic bottles

    Foam rubber

    Knitting needles

    Ruler

    Scissors

    Sewing machine

    1. Wash and dry several plastic bottles with caps. Gather all the bottles in a circle and tape them together.

    2. Cut two circles out of the cardboard so that they cover the top and bottom of all connected bottles. Use duct tape to attach these circles to the connected bottles.

    3. Prepare two rectangular pieces of foam and one round piece. You need to cover the side of the collected bottles with rectangular pieces, and the top with a round piece. Secure everything with tape.

    4. Make a cover for your seat out of any fabric. If you like knitting, you can knit the cover.

    2. We make an extension cord for a tap from plastic bottles with our own hands

It will be more convenient for children to wash their hands.

    3. DIY plastic bottle products: cloth / sponge pocket

    1. Cut the desired shape from the bottle.

    2. Sand the edges with sandpaper.

    3. Hang on the faucet.

    5. What can be made from plastic bottles: cups for storing cosmetics

    6. Feeder from plastic bottles for a cat or dog

There are many ways to make bird feeders, but this feeder is for cats and dogs.

    You will need:

    2 large plastic bottles

    Scissors

    1. In the middle of one bottle, you need to make the holes slightly larger than the neck of the other bottle.

    2. The second bottle should be cut in half across.

    3. Fill the bottom with food.

    4. Connect the parts and open the cover.

    7. A vase for sweets: a master class for crafts from plastic bottles

    You will need:

Plate, round plastic or thick cardboard

    6 2 liter plastic bottles

Wooden or plastic rod (you can use a straight branch of a suitable diameter and length)

    Super glue

    Spray paint and glitters (optional)

    1. Making the basis for the craft. This requires a plate, ceramic or glass plate. In the middle of the plate, you need to increase the hole to 10 mm using a drill.

    2. The drill also needs to make holes in the center of the three plastic bottle pieces that you will be using. It is easier to drill from the inside out.

    3. Cut off the bottom of each of the 6 plastic bottles. Place 3 pieces on the rod and secure with glue. Glue the rest of the parts to the base (plate) around the rod. If you wish, you can paint everything with spray paint.

It is worth noting that the rod is held on to the base thanks to the plastic part that is glued to the plate, as well as to the rod itself.

    4. If you wish, you can decorate your vase.

    8. Do-it-yourself wicker baskets from plastic bottles (master class)

And here is a variant of a wicker basket made of plastic cocktail tubes:

    9. Crafts for the garden from plastic bottles (photo): broom

    1. Remove the label from the plastic bottle.

2.Use a utility knife to cut the bottom of the bottle.

    3. Start making cuts in the bottle, leaving 1 cm in between.

    4. Cut off the neck of the bottle.

    5. Repeat steps 1-4 for 3 more bottles. Leave one bottle with the neck.

    6. Place all the pre-cut, non-necked bottles on top of one necked bottle. You will have a broom blank.

    7. Cut off the top of one bottle and slide it over the blank.

    8. Make two holes through all bottles and insert wire into them and wrap the ends.

    9. Insert a stick or rod into the neck and secure with a nail. You can also use glue.

    10. Modular boxes: description of crafts from plastic bottles

    You will need:

Several large plastic bottles or cans

    Stationery knife

    Scissors

    Marker or pencil

    Strong thread.

    1. Cut a suitable hole from the bottle or canister using a utility knife and / or scissors. It shouldn't be too small for everything to fit, or too big for the plastic structure to fall apart.

    2. Begin to connect the bottles with a strong thread. Start with two, then add two more already connected to them, and so on. Tie strong knots. You can also try using hot glue or super glue (Moment glue).

    3. Assemble a design that is convenient for you. You decide how many rows and "floors" to make. However, it is worth knowing that the higher the structure, the less stable it is. It may be necessary to secure the entire structure with a rope again.

    4. It's time to put the scattered things on the shelf.

The cardboard boxes in which the detergent is sold have the unpleasant property of getting soaked. And when washing, splashes, puddles on the floor and the need to take a pack with wet hands cannot be avoided. The powder in a soggy pack is stored worse - it sticks together into lumps, dries to the walls and bottom. We found a more convenient way to store it - we poured it into an empty bubble bath bottle. How we did it and what we achieved by it, we will tell further.

    Operating procedure

    1. We will pour the powder from a standard pack weighing 400 g into a vacated plastic bottle from under the foam for baths with a capacity of 750 ml.

It has a screw cap with a narrow opening and a protective top. This small hole makes a great dispenser when very little powder is needed. If you need to pour more of it, the lid can be unscrewed. If splashes get into the narrow neck of the bottle, it is very rare. Puddles on the floor and wet hands he is not at all afraid. So the powder will be much better preserved here.

    2. Remove the sticker from the bottle.

    3. It remains to pour the powder.

If there is a suitable funnel, then the matter is small. We are faced with the fact that the powder does not want to be poured into the funnel for liquids - the grains stick to the inner surface of the neck and instantly clog it. Therefore, we have built our own disposable funnel of a more suitable design for us. For this we needed a square of thick paper about 12 by 12 cm in size, scotch tape and scissors.

We fold bags out of paper. In the middle of the height, we glue it around with a strip of tape so that it does not come apart.

Cut the lower end of the bag obliquely.

    4. Insert the funnel into the neck of the bottle.

Pour the powder. We screw on the lid.

    5. So it is more convenient to store the washing powder and use it when washing.

We tear off, wash off stickers and labels.
Sometimes they are so sticky that you have to use acetone solvents, etc.

we take a VERY soft pencil - I have 8B, not just simple, but for artistic drawing

We draw a line along which we will cut:
    this is a side view

    this is a front view

    take a sharp knife

Carefully cut along the drawn line

We cut any irregularities with scissors

now we need to refresh ourselves.
We drank ayranchik, washed the bottles - cute, right?

Cut off the neck and bottom

found a stapler and a hole punch in a desk drawer (one hole is more convenient)

stapled together the cylinders cut from the ayran bottles

artistically pierced the edge of our…. what happens….

inserted our ... inside. well, what happened earlier ...
We don't attach to the base - it's more convenient - if anything, you can get it out, wash it out, shake it out, etc.
the design is soft and flexible - it is more convenient to stuff all kinds of differences than into hard, hard glasses

Likewise with a white bottle of bleach

    And voila !!!
convenient cups-organizers for all kinds of sewing, knitting and art tools!

    But here's the problem!
There is such an interesting design!

    I thought about it…. I cut a little more….

And even hooked her on the handle of the kitchen drawer ....

    ATTENTION! Question:
and what else is there to figure out useful from all that is left ?! :))

    And you think - that's all?…. No, that's not all….

Now we will put things in order in the household closet with larger tools (perhaps not our own, but those of our husband's ... But - for someone like ...).
This time we are VERY sorry to throw out the large bottles that have been freed up from under the PERWOLL washing gel (not a bad product, by the way. I like it).
They are of 3 types: for black, for white and for colored linen. I especially like the bottle for color - I have a weakness for all shades of turquoise ... 😉
    But let's get started:

We wash off all labels using various solvents (see part 1)

Draw a cutting line for everything that is superfluous

    view from the other side

    and on the other

cut with a sharp knife, similar to what was done in part 1.

    this one too

    that's what happened.
    Cut irregularities with scissors

NOW we stuff there hacksaws, hammers, pliers (this is in one), glues, solvents, other chemicals in bottles and vials (in another)

And everything else is in the third!

And we put it on the shelf in the household closet - nice and convenient: took it by the handle, pulled it out of the closet - and use the set of what is in this organizer bottle !!!

And the leftovers…. we use it as a scoop for the earth when transplanting indoor plants.
Well, who needs it - and for cat litter;)).

And I carry the bottle cap to my colleagues in the disease - they use it to decorate bouquets of sweets

Well, they also consoled their souls by not throwing away the beautiful bottles, but adapting them to business.

And at the same time, nature was saved from littering.

I still have large plastic bottles from under washing gels….
Here is a list of materials and tools. We will need:
    - a plastic canister from any detergents (for dishes, for washing, etc.)
    - primer (suitable for plastic) and white acrylic enamel
    - paper napkin with a beautiful plot
    - glue for decoupage and acrylic varnish
    - soft pencil, scissors, knife, brushes or sponge for applying paint, glue and varnish
    - the threads are thick and soft or string, or you can use some kind of braid.

I use just such a canister - about 5-6 liters in volume. It contained dishwashing liquid - inexpensive from the Polish Auchan.

I cut off the top roughly, outline the shape of the top edge. I use a very soft artistic pencil - it draws well on plastic (I wrote more about it in one of my previous MKs on this topic).

I cut off the top edge along the marked line

    outline future pens

    cut holes-handles

    that's what happens.
Then I thoroughly wash the future basket - from the remnants of labels and other contaminants, degrease the entire surface and primer it with a primer from their hardware store (I used a special primer with superadhesive properties - for plastic, metal and other non-absorbent materials). I do not give a photo, because I bought it several years ago, the assortment in stores in different cities and countries is different and changes over time. I think that some similar primer can be found. On top of the primer there is a layer of acrylic enamel (also building enamel, for metal and plastic).

and then - decoupage: a napkin with a bouquet. I transferred it to the canister using a file (I think the decoupage girls know this technology and there is no point in describing it in detail). Two identical bouquets - one on each side. After the glue dries, I applied 2 layers of acrylic semi-gloss varnish.

I was afraid that the paint would still peel off on the handles - I wrapped it with thick synthetic threads. I would like to be lighter, but I used what was at hand.

That's all the wisdom - in my opinion, it turned out nicely.

I use a knitting basket - balls from it unwind well.
