    The weak point of this apparatus is the wires connecting the coils in series. I'll tell you how to fix it. In the photo below, the device has only one inductor working. As evidenced by only one burning LED indicator.

    The coil that works is the very first in the chain of inductors, therefore, the wires are intact before it. To begin with, we will replace the wires that have broken from the first coil to the second.

    To do this, we will analyze both. Previously, there were stickers on the inductors on the side of the LEDs, on this device they have already been removed and bolts are visible under them, and on the reverse side of the nut.

    We unscrew them, hook them and half them with a slotted screwdriver. It is better to pick up at the place where the rubber cuff enters the body.

    We disassemble the second coil.

    Option two. The first is to ring the green wires with a tester and re-solder the broken ones. The second is to solder all the green ones, so as not to disassemble again in the future.

    I went the second way. Sequentially solder each conductor, pull it out and change it to another piece of wire. It is better to take a wire stranded and about the same thickness as the original.

    I only had a thick wire, so I had to tinker to get it through.

    Here, repairs have already been carried out earlier, we only change the green wire and check. Everything worked, all four indicators light up sequentially. Assemble in reverse order.

    I did not photograph all the burning indicators, they light up sequentially. The photo shows the last inductor in the circuit. It is clear that everyone else works before him.

    The device was developed by a radio amateur N.I. Zaets from the Belgorod region and is so simple that it is quite accessible for repetition even by beginner radio amateurs. So. Author's description of the device, its scheme and design.

    DEVICE FOR LOCAL MAGNETOTHERAPY

    Everything in the world rests on the field bonds of atoms, electrons, protons, etc. But the human body itself also produces electrical signals that control our well-being.

    Violation of electrical connections in the body causes disease. On the principle of restoration of connections in the human body, the whole teaching of ancient Chinese medicine is based on the impact on biologically active points (zhen-jiu therapy).

    Modern medicine and the development of electronics have added various forms of reflexology to this teaching. These are laser, magnetic, light, sound and many other types of therapy. Most of them locally affect painful areas of the body.

    The proposed device (its schematic diagram is shown in Fig. 1)

    generates low power magnetic field pulses. The device consists of three functional blocks: a generator, a shaper and a current amplifier. The generator is assembled according to the multivibrator circuit on the elements DD1.1 and DD1.2.

    The short pulse shaper consists of a differentiating chain C2R4 and elements DD1.3 - DD1.4. The current amplifier is assembled on transistors VT1-VT2 operating in key mode.

    Diode VD1 is necessary to protect the protection of transistors from breakdown by self-induction currents. The LED can be used type AL307 or any other by reducing the resistance of the resistor R7 to 2 kOhm. But with such a replacement, the current consumption will increase.

    The electromagnet has a winding resistance of at least 20 ohms. The electromagnet coil is wound on a frame with an inner diameter of 10 mm and an outer diameter of 20 mm with PEV2-0.22 wire.

    You can take a ready-made (necessarily wooden) spool of thread and wind the wire around it until it is completely filled. The last winding layer, together with soldered flexible leads about 50 cm long, is wrapped with electrical tape.

    A magnetic core is inserted into the hole of the coil - a core made of mild steel, for example, grade 3. An M10 bolt without a head can be used as a core for a coil taken from threads.

    The device is assembled in a suitable case, where a frequency regulator, an LED, a 6P22 battery (“Krona”) are installed. The wire from the electromagnet is connected to the device with a stereo connector, which simultaneously acts as a power switch.

    When first turned on, the change in frequency is controlled by the flickering of the LED when the frequency regulator is rotated. The operation of the electromagnet can be checked by holding it up to a color TV screen (this is safe). Shadows should appear on the screen in sync with the LED flashes.

    A drawing of the printed circuit board of the device is shown in Fig.2.

    During the operation of the device, an electromagnet is brought to a painful joint with a magnetic circuit and slow circular movements are made. Exposure time - up to 30 minutes.

    The frequency of the generator is set to the minimum, controlling it by the flashes of the LED. If the pain does not subside, the frequency of generation is slowly increased. At the same time, it must be remembered that a higher frequency is designed to break down salt deposits, so the pain may increase for a while.

    This device can be used in the treatment of fractures and wound healing (1), as well as in toothaches.

    Another application of this device is the treatment of seeds before sowing. An electromagnet is placed on a non-magnetic box with seeds for 30 seconds. The pulse frequency is minimal.

    Long-term practice of seed treatment has shown good seedling vitality, increased disease resistance and fruit size. Although in the first phase, until the true leaf, the plant is stunted, in the subsequent it overtakes the seedlings that were not treated with a magnet.     For the first time this magnetotherapy apparatus ( fig.1) brought about a year ago with the words "works for about a minute and turns off." It turned out that the internal resistance of the self-restoring fuse increased; after turning on the device, it began to heat up and after a while broke the power circuit. The same replacement fuse was not found, so an MLT-0.5 resistor with a resistance of 1 ohm was put in its place.

    The second time the same device was brought quite recently - it had broken and burned wires from constant kinks in the places where the cable was supplied to the inductor coils and to the electronic unit ( fig.2). The repair consisted in removing the broken conductors and soldering the cable.

    The scheme of the old version of Almag-01 is easily found on the network, where counters and decoders of the 561 series are used (available in the appendix to the text). The brought device was already assembled on the PIC controller 12F509, so during the first repair I had to copy the circuit diagram from the printed circuit board ( fig.3).

    Elements FU2, VR1, C2, FU1, Tv1, R2 and R8 can be attributed to the 220 V power circuit - this is both the protection of the device from possible overvoltage in the network and the protection of the network from the impulse noise that occurs in the device.

    Diode VD2 passes only positive half-waves of the mains voltage, and after it there is no storage capacitor, and this indicates that the entire power part (transistors VT1 ... VT4 and their load in the form of inductors) works only during the appearance of these half-waves.

    Their presence is also controlled by the PIC controller via the R1, R3, R7, VD5, C5 and R6 circuits. The microcircuit is powered by elements C1, VD3, VD4, C3, R4, VD6, C4, VD11 and C6.

    Negative half-waves, passing through the diode VD1 and limited by the zener diode VD12 at a level of 3 V, cause the green LED HL1 "NETWORK" to glow.

    The yellow LED HL2 (indicator of the "WORK" mode) lights up when the PIC controller program starts. While the program is running, a “running” pulse appears on pins 3, 5, 6 and 7 of the microcircuit, which controls the transistors VT1-VT8. Power transistors VT1-VT4, as mentioned above, occurs with positive high-voltage pulses, and VT5-VT8 are powered by a constant voltage of +12 V (VD4, C3).

    The inductors themselves consist of a series-connected multi-turn coil and a 2.2 ohm resistor (seen in fig.2). Parallel to the resistor is a green LED that glows when voltage is applied to the coil.

    The instructions for the Almag-01 apparatus indicate that the pulse flowing in the inductor coil has a duration of 1.5-2.5 ms and follows at a frequency of 6.25 Hz (instruction attached to the text).

    To check the indicated time intervals, sensors made in the form of multilayer coils were brought to the first two inductors ( fig.4), and the voltage induced on them was fed into the computer's sound card for analysis in the program.

    On the fig.5 at the top shows the voltage from the first coil, and at the bottom - from the second. It can be seen that the pulses are shifted by a quarter of the period. Pickups from the appearance of the third and fourth pulses are also noticeable. The repetition frequency, as indicated in the instructions, is close to 6.25 Hz.

    On the fig.6 And fig.7 you can see the position of the pulses in one of the coils relative to the mains voltage and the shape of these pulses in more detail. The approximate duration of that part of the pulse that can be called "positive" is close to the indicated 1.5-2.5 ms. The "negative" part is most likely the EMF that occurs in the coil when the transistor is closed.

    1. Before using the device, be sure to carefully read the instruction manual.
