• What can be cooked from squid: quick and tasty

    Thanks to modern washing machines such as an automatic machine, washing clothes no longer requires much physical effort, and models with a built-in drying function completely eliminate the hassle of hanging the laundry.

    However, competent housewives know that proper drying is the guarantor of easy ironing.

    Laundry can dry properly only by hanging, but residents apartment buildings there is usually not enough space for this purpose.

    Ropes for drying clothes in the bathroom, which were used by the older generation, are not relevant for a long time.

    Therefore, designs such as drying for clothes in the bathroom are especially popular.

    Varieties of devices

    The main criterion in the manufacture of dryers is to ensure comfort in use.

    But since the size of the bathrooms can vary significantly, the choice must be made taking into account the individual characteristics of the space.

    There are several variations of tumble dryers for the bathroom:

    • Wall-mounted - they are fastened directly to the wall.
    • Liana - this model is mounted on the ceiling structure.
    • Mobile or floor dryers.
    • Active dryers are distinguished by make-up from the mains or from the heating system.

    Drying in the bathroom wall

    Wall-mounted models for drying clothes are the most popular, as their reliability has been proven over the years.

    There are two types of construction:

    Drum device. This design is complex.

    It is a drum with fixing elements and a mechanism with springs.

    For hanging, it is necessary to fix the end of the rope on a special bar, and fix the second part of it on a drum hidden in the box.

    This model of drying in the bathroom can withstand a large amount of laundry (from 10 to 15 kg).

    However, this device has some disadvantages.

    Rapid wear of the ropes, due to constant tension, as well as possible defects in the spring mechanism (poor-quality springs quickly become unusable).

    Hanger for drying clothes in the bathroom or telescopic cantilever mechanism.

    This design consists of metal tubes or strips.

    Such a drying is attached to any of the walls of the room. A positive quality of the hanger is space saving.

    This is due to the fact that the dryer can be folded close to the wall.

    However, there are also disadvantages, in particular the minimum load level - such a model can withstand only 5 to 7 kg.

    Ceiling view of drying in the bathroom

    For small bathrooms, as well as for rooms with high ceilings, you should choose a liana drying model.

    Its construction consists of a variety of ropes and hanging roller mechanisms.

    The drying device consists of a metal frame attached to the ceiling. The rollers equipped with ropes are attached directly to the frame.

    In turn, the ropes hold special tubes on which the laundry is hung, and with the help of the rollers, the tubes can be lowered or raised.

    Today, similar models are made for wall mounting. The difference between wall and ceiling vines lies only in the method of attachment and the supporting structure.

    Mobile or portable dryers

    The most popular option for a floor dryer is a folding design that looks like an ironing board.

    Also, quite often housewives choose dryers on wheels, which are easy to move from one room to another.

    Both models are made of metal, and they are particularly robust and durable, as they have a simplified design without rollers, brackets or other fixtures.

    Portable dryers include a model resembling a book with special support bars. It is necessary to place such a drying on the bathroom itself, focusing on the edges of the container.

    Active view of the bathroom dryer

    This type is presented in the form of a heated towel rail mounted on the wall and heated by power supply from the mains or from the heating system.

    Installation of this structure is not difficult, it also has a long service life, provided that the model is of high quality.

    This applies to stationary dryers. Portable structures differ from stationary ones only in the way they are fed.

    Before purchasing this or that model, you should familiarize yourself with the photo of the bathroom dryers in order to have a clear idea of which design to choose for yourself.

    Linen dryers, the popularity of which has increased markedly, allow you to avoid many inconveniences: washed clothes do not have to be hung all over the apartment, they dry faster, wrinkle less and do not interfere. Ease of use of the dryer largely depends on the design itself, its size, functionality, material of manufacture.

    To pick up the most the best option, you should familiarize yourself in more detail with the types of dryers, their pros and cons, as well as installation methods.

    Modern tumble dryers are available in a wide range - from standard racks on racks to electric models with several temperature conditions... They differ not only in shape and size, but also in the way they are installed, in addition, each dryer is designed for certain loads. Most of the models are made of aluminum, of stainless steel and plastic though wooden crafts are also quite in demand.

    Depending on the design, dryers can be installed on the floor or sides of the bathtub, mounted on the wall or ceiling. The installation method is the most important criterion when choosing a model, and in order not to be mistaken, it is better to study the main characteristics of each type in advance.

    Floor models

    A floor dryer is usually a folding frame with horizontal rods or stretched metal strings on which the laundry is hung. When unfolded, the dryer takes up a lot of space (especially designs with additional modules), but it allows you to conveniently place a large number of things. When assembled, the dryer is no more than 10 cm thick and can be easily pushed between the bathtub and the washing machine. On average, such models can withstand about 20 kg of wet linen, and the weight of the structure itself is no more than 3.5-4 kg.

    In addition to standard horizontal dryers, there are multi-tier models of the shelf type on sale, which also fold and are equipped with wheels for ease of movement. When unfolded, they occupy less space than horizontal ones, and are ideal for drying small items - underwear, socks, shirts, blouses, and so on.

    Advantages of floor structures:

    • ease of use and durability;
    • light weight;
    • excellent capacity;
    • the dryer can be placed in any convenient place;
    • there is no need to mount the mountings.

    These dryers have only one drawback - they take up useful area, but for a small apartment this is a very urgent problem.

    Dryers for clothes floor

    Wall models

    Wall-mounted dryers are much more convenient to use. They are runners with crossbars for hanging laundry. Wall structures are telescopic, sliding, with height adjustment of the crossbars. There are compact models with a spring drum in the body that allow you to stretch the strings between opposing walls. The things hung at the top do not interfere with the use of the bathroom, unless it is bedding, and after assembly, the dryer fits harmoniously into the interior and does not irritate the eyes.

    Advantages:

    • compact size;
    • ease and ease of use;
    • low price;
    • aesthetic appearance.
    • small capacity;
    • the maximum load should not exceed 7-10 kg, depending on the model;
    • for installation, it is necessary to drill the walls.

    Suspended models

    By design, ceiling dryers resemble wall dryers, only their guides are attached to the ceiling. The height of the bars is adjustable, when hanging the laundry, they can be easily lowered to the desired level, and then pulled up again. Moreover, each bar can move independently of the others, which makes the operation of the dryer even more convenient. As a rule, such structures are mounted above the bathroom so that puddles from drops from wet linen do not form on the floor.

    • hanging things do not take up useful space and almost do not interfere with the use of the bathroom;
    • dryers are compact and aesthetically pleasing;
    • the designs are easy to use.

    The disadvantage of such dryers can be called the laboriousness of installation. Fasteners should be as strong and reliable as possible, as well as overlappings, so that the entire structure does not fall down under the weight of wet things.

    Bath dryers

    These dryers are foldable lightweight frames with thin tubes or strings. They can be laid out horizontally on top of the bathtub or placed at an angle on opposite sides. To prevent the racks from slipping, they have special plastic clips. There are also models that are hung on the side of a side or on a heating radiator. They are quite small and are mainly used for drying towels, socks, and underwear.

    The advantages of such dryers include only low weight and ease of use, as for convenience and functionality, here they noticeably lose. You can't hang a lot on these structures, they are not suitable for drying bed linen either. In addition, while the clothes are drying, there is no way to take a bath, as the dryer is located directly above it.

    Electric dryers

    Electric dryers are in no less demand than conventional dryers, despite their high cost. They are indispensable if you need to quickly dry a jacket, warm sweater, blanket and other similar things that will dry for several days under normal conditions. Electric models are also very diverse and can be floor-standing, wall-mounted, hanging. Most of them are equipped with thermostats, which allows you to choose optimal mode drying, depending on the type of laundry. There are also dryers with electronic timers, thanks to which you can adjust the duration of the device. Such dryers consume very little electricity, operate almost silently, and withstand loads of about 15 kg.

    • fast and even drying;
    • ease of use;
    • when folded, the dryer takes up a minimum of space.
    • high price;
    • additional energy costs;
    • the need to comply with safety regulations.

    Electric clothes dryers

    When choosing a dryer, special attention should be paid to the material of manufacture. The most practical and durable products are considered to be stainless steel. They do not lose their appearance over time, withstand the greatest loads, do not leave stains on things and are easily cleaned of plaque.

    Powder-coated aluminum models look great at first, but with heavy use, the coating starts to peel off and the aluminum leaves dark marks on the laundry.

    Plastic products are the most affordable and look attractive, but their service life is rather limited. And you can't put a lot of stress on them, otherwise the plastic case will quickly break. Over time, such dryers lose their attractive appearance, the plastic turns yellow, the strings sag.

    As for wooden dryers, with proper care they can serve for a very long time, in addition, such models most often have an original shape and look harmonious in the bathroom interior. But if you have to wash frequently and in large quantities, it is better to refuse a wooden dryer in favor of a metal one.

    When choosing, you need to pay attention to the quality of the connections, the density of the coating, the ease of movement of the elements. Strings or rods should not be too densely spaced: optimal distance is 7-10 cm, if it is less, then things will touch each other and dry longer. On the frame of the dryer there should be no sharp protrusions, traces of welding, spots, roughness. If the base shines through the coating, it is better to refuse such a purchase - very soon the paint will begin to peel off.

    In a high-quality dryer, all the elements have a uniform color, a smooth, even surface, the tubes at the ends are closed with plugs, as are the joints. The packaging must indicate the complete set, all dimensions, weight, installation instructions are required.

    Installation options for a clothes dryer in the bathroom

    Installation of a dryer in the bathroom does not require special knowledge and skills, so it is not at all difficult to cope with the installation. The order of fastening the elements may differ slightly depending on the design of the product, therefore, carefully read the manufacturer's instructions before installation. Most often, mistakes are made when installing ceiling dryers, and therefore we will consider the options for their installation in more detail.

    Installation of the dryer "Liana"

    Before starting work, all the elements of the dryer must be laid out on the table and the equipment must be checked. Fasteners are usually included in the kit, but they are not always reliable, and many craftsmen prefer to buy them separately. In addition to the dryer itself, you will need a pencil, hammer, and drill with the appropriate drill bits for concrete and tiles.

    Step 1. The optimal location of the dryer is chosen and marks are placed on the ceiling with a pencil. To do this, take brackets with rollers, apply them to the ceiling and mark points through the mounting holes. The brackets should be parallel to each other, at the same level, and the distance between them should correspond to the length of the dryer rods.

    Step 2. Holes are drilled in the ceiling, dust is blown out, dowels are hammered tightly. Next, the brackets are fastened with screws and the recesses from the fasteners are closed with special plugs included in the package.

    Step 3. A bracket is attached to the wall parallel to the brackets for fixing the cords. It should be located approximately at a height of 1.3-1.5 m from the floor, strictly horizontally. Fastening occurs in the same way: points for fasteners are marked through the holes, drilled, dowels are inserted and screws are screwed in. If the wall is tiled, take a spear drill with a victorious soldering, otherwise the tile may crack.

    Step 4. The cords are carefully laid out on a flat surface and they begin to fasten them alternately to each rod. To do this, a tight knot is tied at the end, the cord is placed in the groove on the rod and the knot is pulled inward with effort. All other cords are fixed in the same way.

    Step 5. The assembly of the dryer is started. You must thread the cords through the holes in both brackets. If the retaining bracket is located on the right side, the assembly starts from the left bracket and vice versa. It is not very easy to push the cord into the hole, so for convenience, you can use a piece of wire, bending it in the form of a hook or a long loop. The free end of the cord is pulled through two fixing caps.

    Step 6. The first rod is pulled up, after which the top cap is fixed with a knot on the cord and inserted into the cutout on the bracket. Repeat the steps with the rest of the suspensions so that they are all on the same level.

    Step 7. Next, I determine the lower level of the location of the rods, on which it is most convenient to hang the laundry, and tie one more knot. The knots are pulled into the lower caps, and the remaining pieces of the cord are cut off. After that, the suspensions are again pulled back to their original position.

    Installation of the Fortuna dryer

    The Fortuna model is a construction of metal brackets with rollers, on which two movable aluminum profiles are mounted. With the help of a simple mechanism and steel cables, the profiles are easily raised and lowered to the desired height, and independently of each other. The profiles along the entire length have special holes for the hangers, on which it is convenient to dry clothes.

    The brackets are fixed to the ceiling and the deflector roller and control box are mounted on the wall. First, you need to choose the most convenient location of the dryer relative to the bath, so that the water from the laundry flows directly into it and does not form puddles on the floor. After that, you can proceed directly to the installation.

    Step 1. On the ceiling, the points of attachment of the brackets are marked with a pencil, 2 for each. They should form a rectangle with sides 1.8-2 m and 0.4-0.6 m. On the wall, they also mark the places of fasteners of the control unit and the guide roller strictly along one vertical line.

    Step 2. Holes of the appropriate depth are drilled according to the marks, and the brackets with rollers and the control unit are screwed with the help of anchors.

    Step 3. The end of the steel cable is carefully pulled into the holder (crab), a strong knot is tied at the end and tightened inward. The other end of the cable should be passed through the plastic retainer and pad included with the dryer, and then pulled through the roller located on the opposite side of the control unit.

    Step 4. The cover is pushed close to the roller, clamped with the retainer until it stops, the crab is pulled up on the cable so that it rests tightly against the retainer. The cable is then passed from the outside of the double roller and through the guide roller.

    Step 5. On the control unit, unscrew the cap so that the lock washer, which is inside, does not fall out. The free end of the cable is threaded through this cap, folded in a loop and taken out through the same hole. Now the cable is pulled in the opposite direction, but from the inside of both rollers. In this case, the double roller must be turned towards the guide.

    Step 6... Alternately, decorative overlays are fixed under each roller, then the crabs are put on and the length of the cable is adjusted so that when the crabs are at the very top, the distance between the control unit and the middle of the loop does not exceed 10 cm.After that, the free end of the cable is cut off.

    Step 7. A lock washer is inserted into the middle of the loop and, holding it with your fingers, tighten the cable into the cap. Using the handle on the control unit, the cable is slightly unwound so that the cap can be tightened.

    Self-made clothes dryers

    For homemade dryers, wooden slats can be used, PVC pipes, metal corners and other materials at hand. There are a lot of options for such designs, from simple to the most complex, and the choice depends only on your skill and experience. For example, consider making a dryer from corners, which any novice craftsman can do.

    To work you will need:

    • 2 steel corners 25x25 mm and about 1 m long;
    • Grover washers with a diameter of 20-30 mm;
    • drill with a set of drills;
    • level and pencil;
    • anchor bolts;
    • braided steel cable or strong linen cord.

    Step 1. Take a corner and drill holes in one shelf for fasteners at a distance of 50 mm from the ends and in the middle. In another shelf, holes are drilled with a diameter of 6 mm with a step of 10 cm, retreating from the ends of about 2-3 cm. The second corner is processed in the same way.

    Laundry brackets

    Step 2. The prepared corners are well sanded and painted to give the dryer an aesthetic appearance. The paint must be anti-corrosion, because the dryer will constantly be in conditions of high humidity.

    Step 3. When the paint is dry, apply a corner to the wall to determine the most comfortable height. A horizontal line is set according to the level and marks are placed with a pencil through the holes in the shelf. In the same way, markings are made for the second corner on the opposite wall. All marks must be at the same level, otherwise the dryer will be skewed.

    Step 4. Holes are drilled in the marked places, cleaned of dust, apply a corner and fix it to the wall with anchor bolts. Then the second corner is screwed on.

    Step 5. A cord is pulled between the guides, threading it into the washers and fixing the ends with knots so that they do not slip out.

    Secure the linen with clothespins so that they do not fall

    Video - Installation of the Fortuna dryer

    Laundry dryer for the bathroom, every woman has to dry the clothes after washing.

    Someone uses the laundry drying function in washing machines ah, someone is hanging things on the battery.

    Today, there are designs on sale that make the process convenient and efficient.

    Varieties of clothes dryers

    Dryers differ in the shape of the structure and the way they are attached to the surface.

    The dryer is mounted to the ceiling, the structure consists of metal rods suspended by a roller mechanism and ropes. Mounting is carried out to the ceiling.

    Alternately, you can lower each bar down, hang the laundry and lift it up. This design can support approximately 20 kilograms of damp laundry.

    The ceiling mount dryer is suitable for high rooms, as well as small rooms with standard ceilings.

    Wall-mounted dryer:

    Rod-type - this design of the dryer is mounted on one of the walls, the principle of operation is similar to the dryer with ceiling mount. Well suited for drying wool products, as well as those products that are not recommended to be folded to avoid deformation.

    Rope - it is widespread. Differs in the ability to regulate the tension of the ropes and the lack of regulation of their height. Low hanging laundry will make it difficult to use the bathroom, and too high a rope will make you constantly use the chair.

    Cantilever - suitable for use by pulling out the accordion-attached rods. This shape is suitable for small bathrooms. After drying the laundry, it is folded up and pressed firmly against the attached wall. Allows you to significantly increase the usable area.

    Ideal for drying small items (towels, T-shirts, baby clothes), but inconvenient for drying large items (bed linen, blankets).

    Floor mounted dryer

    The dryer is installed on the floor. When unfolded, they have a large work surface... It can be installed in any room with free space. It folds up and down easily.

    Can be stowed away in any tight space. Floor mounted dryers take up little space when folded. V small room such a dryer can take up all the free space.

    Electricity dryer

    For people with a limited amount of time, an electric dryer is ideal. The positive side is the ability to dry laundry quickly, but not suitable for all types of fabrics.

    Some fabrics are easily deformed from overheating and lose their aesthetic qualities. The lifespan of these fabrics is rapidly reduced.

    Drying clothes on the battery

    A type of drying laundry using temperature. Additional installation is not required. The laundry is simply hung on the battery.

    It is difficult to dry large items on the battery, but it is ideal for small items.

    With this type of drying, it is necessary to carefully consider products that are demanding on temperature conditions.

    Drying things in the bath

    With this type of drying, a structure is selected that is easy to install and remove.

    Takes up the work surface of the bathtub, but frees up space on the floor. When placing such a dryer in the bathroom, it will be impossible to use it.

    How to decide on a design for drying clothes?

    Of course, when choosing a dryer, you should decide where and how it is convenient for you to dry things.

    Whether you feel comfortable drying them in the bathroom, whether you have enough drying space in the living room, or the ability to move the dryer to the balcony - all this will determine the typical design of the dryer.

    If you prefer to dry things in small batches, then you don't need to choose a large floor dryer.

    When living in a small apartment, console or ceiling dryers are better suited, since when folded they will not take up much space. Floor dryers are best used in spacious rooms.

    When choosing dryers, you should pay attention to the material of construction.

    Due to constant high humidity metal structure must be treated with a stainless steel compound. You can choose a stainless steel dryer. Such a dryer will serve you for a long time and will not lose its appearance.

    All dryer fittings must be well done. The fasteners and hinges should keep the dryer well on the surface or unfolded. The tension ropes must have a smooth surface.

    When choosing a particular dryer, it is necessary to take into account the peculiarities of the bathroom and the availability of free space in it. A properly selected dryer will be a decoration of the bathroom.

    Drying to the bathroom - more than a simple market overview

    Fortunately, thanks to the advent of automatic washing machines, washing clothes has become an easy, one might say, routine. But although many modern models have a drying function, experienced housewives prefer to dry things separately, using only the easy spin function. After all, after tumble drying, the laundry is very difficult to iron. In this review, I will tell you what kind of dryers for clothes for the bathroom and not only for the bathroom, and we will also talk about the criteria for choosing and installing such devices with our own hands.

    What tumble dryers does the modern market offer?

    Naturally, for all manufacturers of this product, the main criterion is ease of use. But the dimensions of bathrooms in modern apartments can be quite different.

    What is suitable for new buildings with a free layout, often simply does not fit into Khrushchev buildings. Therefore, you need to choose based on specific conditions.

    Wall options

    Wall-mounted drying for clothes in the bathroom is deservedly considered one of the oldest and proven directions. At the moment, there are 2 leading models among such dryers.

    The device of the first model is technically considered more complex. Such a device is a drum with a built-in spring mechanism and clamps.

    Linen is hung here on the clothesline. One end of these ropes is fixed on a monolithic bar, and the other is attached to a drum hidden in a box. In a calm state, that is, when nothing needs to be dried, the box together with the monolithic bar simply hangs on the wall.

    To bring such a dryer into working condition, you need to take a monolithic bar and, together with the ropes, hook it to a pair of brackets fixed on the opposite wall. At this time, the drum will unwind, releasing the ropes to the desired length.

    When the bar hooks onto the brackets, the spring mechanism will provide a stable tension on the ropes, and so that they do not sag under load, the drum will need to be fixed with special stoppers, thereby ensuring its stable position.

    In view of its compactness, this model is quite popular. Such dryers from good manufacturers are capable of withstanding up to 12-15kg of wet laundry. But these devices have 2 weak points... Firstly, if you constantly "pull" the ropes, they wear out rather quickly, although this is not so scary, in the end, they can be replaced.

    Worse, the spring mechanism that tightens the ropes and the locking pins are actually underneath constant load and if the manufacturer installed low-quality springs with plastic clamps, then such drying will not last long. As far as I know, cheap models break down within the first year of operation.

    The second type of wall dryers is the so-called cantilever telescopic or, in other words, retractable dryers. They are made from metal strips and tubes. Unlike the first option, the console fixtures are attached only to one wall and do not have any springs and clamps.

    In my opinion, the only significant advantage that such devices can boast of is their compactness; when folded, such a dryer will definitely not bother you. At the same time, the bearing capacity of such a structure does not exceed 5, maximum 7 kg. Most often they are not used for their intended purpose, but as a regular towel rack.

    There is another, figuratively speaking, a workers 'and peasants' version of wall dryers. You can make it yourself, but I will talk about it a little later.

    Liana as a recognized leader among ceiling dryers

    For owners of small bathrooms, as well as in apartments with high ceilings, the model under the general name liana for drying clothes in the bathroom is perfect. The dryer received such an extravagant name for the abundance of ropes and hanging rollers.

    The ceiling model "Liana" is really very convenient, I have not yet heard that any hostess scolded this device. The bottom line is that a metal frame of two guides is attached to the ceiling. On this, rollers are suspended through which the ropes are threaded.

    But the laundry hangs not on the ropes, but on metal tubes. Ropes along with rollers are needed to raise and lower metal tubes. Plus, for convenience, a console is attached to the wall, onto which the ends of the ropes cling. For me personally, this design is more like a mechanism for raising the sails on yachts.

    Now such models are made not only in the ceiling, but also in the wall version. Their principle of operation is absolutely the same. The only difference is in the supporting elements. As you probably already understood, the ceiling liana is fixed to the ceiling, and in the wall version, two side wall consoles are used.

    Hiding behind a single name is a fairly wide the lineup... The length of the tubes in vines ranges from 50 cm to 2m. The instruction promises that the liana is on average designed for 15 - 20 kg of weight. But here you need to look at the country of the manufacturer.

    Our craftsmen, as well as German respectable burghers, as a rule, make quality goods. And I can assure you that 20kg is far from the limit.

    But as for some (not all) Chinese firms and dryers without identification marks, then whatever low price, you will be wasting money. The ropes will get tangled, the rollers will fall off, and the brackets will bend.

    Floor-standing and portable dryer options

    It is simply not realistic to list all the existing floor options in one small overview. Almost everyone has seen such dryers. The most popular model at the moment is a portable folding dryer, vaguely reminiscent of an ironing board.

    But besides her, there are three-dimensional structures on wheels, which are often not understandable, but it is very convenient to move them around the apartment. As far as I've seen, all these dryers are made of metal.

    I like them for their reliability. There are no ropes, rollers or brackets, everything is extremely simple, the usual lattice with cross bars. If such drying is handled normally, then children will also get it.

    As for portable models, the assortment here is even wider. The most famous is the dryer, consisting of 2 halves connected by hinges in the form of a book.

    It is made specifically for use in the bathroom. This drying has special stops along the edges. You just need to open this "book" and install on the edges of the bathroom.

    My wife once on the occasion, at a sale, bought a so-called dryer for batteries, meaning heating. It consists of 2 curved hooks that cling to the battery, and 5 transverse tubes are welded between them.

    I have not yet met a simpler design. The wife uses it when she washes various small things with her own hands without spinning. First, she hangs the dryer on the bathtub, and after the laundry is drained, she sends it to the radiator, quickly, cheaply and conveniently.

    Active dryers

    I call stationary heated towel rails powered by active dryers heating system at home or from filing hot water... As well as units powered by electricity.

    Well, there is practically nothing to tell about stationary water heated towel rails, as a rule, they are mounted once and if you did not spare money and bought a quality item, then you will use such a dryer for life.

    As for electrical models, they can be both stationary and portable. Stationary electrical models differ from water models only in the type of coolant.

    Portable models are less common, but you can still find them if you wish. All electric dryers of a similar plan operate, according to the same principle as oil heater... That is, a special oil is pumped into the inside of the sealed housing and the heating element is installed.

    They differ from a standard heater only in the configuration of the case; there are crossbars specially for hanging the linen and enhanced protection against high humidity.

    Such electric portable models work from a 220V network, the power in them is calculated so that the temperature does not exceed 60 ° C, so it is not possible to burn yourself on them.

    If you buy an electric model of a bathroom dryer, whether it is stationary or portable, first of all, make sure that your outlet is equipped with a ground loop. The bathroom is wet and you shouldn't rely on the Russian "maybe", the consequences can be more than serious.

    When choosing a factory model, in order not to be mistaken, you need to pay attention to several fundamental things:

    • Almost all modern factory models, if not completely, then at least partially, are made of metal.... So, from ferrous metals, that is, ordinary steel, I recommend giving up right away. It is best to take a stainless steel, if you feel sorry for money for it, take a nickel-plated metal, with a careful attitude, such a coating will serve for quite a long time. As a last resort, buy aluminum, but you should not count on any serious strength here;

    Sometimes shopping center managers go for a trick. They say the dryer, although made of ferrous metal, is powder coated on top, which is an indicator of quality. So enamel, powder coating or some other paint, with active use, will begin to crack after a year, and after a couple of years you will find rust at the joints.

    • The second sore spot is the clothesline for drying clothes in the bathroom.... Even if you are an ardent adherent of everything natural, in this case it is better to take synthetic ropes. Once again, the bathroom is warm and humid. In such conditions, any natural material will quickly become a breeding ground for mold and mildew.
      The fact that the rope itself will rot is not a problem. Mold spores, which will constantly remain on things, including underwear, are dangerous. And this, sooner or later, can lead to serious health disorders;

    • Don't chase cheap goods... A dryer is not essential. If there is not enough money for a quality item, it is better to dry the clothes for a while using the old-fashioned method, by pulling a rope on the balcony, in the kitchen or in one of the rooms. Don't forget the old, tried and tested truth that the miser pays twice.
    • First of all, remember wall models dryers, at least their main, bearing part should be mounted exclusively on a solid bearing wall. Installing a dryer on a pier is always a risk. The entire wall, of course, will not collapse, but you cannot drive good dowels into it, the thickness will not be enough. A weak fastening can, in the end, break out along with the cladding. Agree, it will be a pity because of the small dryer, completely shifting the tiles in the bathroom;
    • Before you buy this or that model, think, or even better measure, whether it will fit in your bathroom. How convenient it will be to close the window, if any. Will she not interfere with the doors and will you also be able to freely take a shower;

    • A high-quality wall or ceiling liana for drying linen in the bathroom is an irreplaceable thing. But with large volumes, one should not forget that the bath, in fact, is not a large room and sooner or later the high humidity will do its job. In order to protect my bathtub from mold and mildew, I personally immediately put the fan on the hood, and then, when I was doing repairs, I installed an electric warm floor.

    Homemade dryers

    As I mentioned at the beginning, the simplest clothes dryer that you can think of and make with your own hands in the bathroom is a rope pulled over 2 hooks. But one rope is usually not enough. My wife at one time demanded that there should be at least 3 such ropes.

    I did not philosophize for a long time, I took 2 bars with a section of 40x40 mm and a length of a little more than half a meter. I sanded them well, covered them with urethane-alkyd varnish and fixed each with three anchors on the wall. Then I bought a dozen nickel-plated self-tapping screws in the form of hooks, screwed them into the slats and pulled 5 strong ropes between them.

    Later, in one of the magazines, I saw an original wooden dryer made in the form of a window and made the same one for my bathtub. The idea is extremely simple. First, the outer frame is mounted and decorated under the window.

    After that, the frame is made slightly smaller than the outer one, so that it clearly fits into the outer one. From below, these frames are connected by ordinary door hinges, and from above, instead of a limiter, a leather belt is attached, up to a meter long.

    A row of horizontal bars is inserted inside the second frame, onto which the linen is actually hung. The rungs can be made of wood or stainless steel, it's up to your taste. When the laundry needs to be dried, the inner frame opens and the laundry is hung on the rungs. In the diagram below, I showed general principle assembly of such a dryer.

    Output

    Of course, you can live without a clothes dryer for the bathroom, but believe me, it is much more "elegant" and easier with it. The photo and video in this article contains additional information on the topic of dryers. If you still have questions, write them in the comments, I will try to help.

    The washed clothes need to be dried somewhere. Owners of private houses will calmly stretch clotheslines on their site for this purpose, and residents of high-rise buildings will use the loggias. But what can the happy owners of apartments on the first floors, where there are no balconies, do, and it is rather dangerous to leave their belongings on the street for a long time unattended.

    This is where special clothes dryers come to the rescue, which are quietly placed in the bathrooms. In fact, such equipment will not hurt every owner to have, since it is inexpensive, but it allows you to cope with the mentioned task in cases where the balcony space cannot be used, and it is raining outside. Next, I will acquaint you with such a device in more detail.

    A little about motivation

    To begin with, I still want to dwell in a little more detail on the benefits obtained from the use of clothes dryers in bathrooms:

    1. No need for a free balcony.

    But the following situations may take place:

    • He does not exist at all, not that free;

    • It is used as a pantry, and old skis will not be the best neighborhood to washed clothes. Yes, and it will be inconvenient for you to hang something there yourself;

    • It is equipped as an office. If your computer or other electronic equipment is dear to you, then it is better to keep sources of moisture away from it;

    • You are expecting smoking guests. Where will they go to smoke? That's right, on. And people do not need to admire your linen, which will also interfere, but the linen itself should not be soaked in tobacco smoke;
    1. Security... You can also often find stretched clotheslines near high-rise buildings. But this means that, in fact, any passer-by will be able to remove the things you have hung out and take them home. This, of course, does not apply to private plots, they are guarded by a strong fence, and sometimes an angry dog;

    1. Ability to dry even in rainy weather... This again applies to the use of street clotheslines and "hits" even the owners of their own fenced land, as the rain fences and angry dogs do not care.

    Varieties

    So, what types of dryers can effectively replace loggias and outdoor clotheslines? Now I'll tell you everything:

    Substitute # 1: wall dryer

    As the name implies, here we are talking about a structure that is attached to the wall and can have two interpretations:

    1. Rope... Represents ropes stretched over the bathroom from one wall to another, similar to those that are hung on the street.

    In turn, it can also be of two types:

    • Stationary- two straps connected by linen cords. The price of such products is the lowest and practically will not "hit" your family budget in any way;

    • Removable- a spring-loaded drum on which the ropes are wound, and a retractable bar with their other ends. The first part is fixed on the wall using dowels and self-tapping screws, and the second hooks onto the pre-installed rings opposite with hooks. When the hooks are removed, the mechanism twists the cords back;

    I recommend buying the curl model only if you really plan to use this feature. The fact is that standing on the edge of the bathtub in order to unfasten the hooks is not very convenient and rather time-consuming. In this regard, most users simply leave the ropes unfolded, thereby overpaying extra money for the presence of an unclaimed mechanism.

    1. Foldable... It is even easier to install such devices with your own hands than those described above. Here it is enough to attach the main panel to one of the walls above the font using the same screws and dowels. Then a structure of metal or plastic strips, similar to an accordion, is pulled out of it, which is hung with wet linen.
      The main disadvantage of such a system is that, due to the lack of a support for the second edge, it will not be able to support significant weight, so for a large family it is better to purchase a rope or ceiling sample, which I will discuss below.

    On the shelves of specialized stores, you can find the following models of wall dryers:

    • Model "Gimi Brio Super 120":

    • Rollquick 210 83006 model:

    Substitute # 2: ceiling dryer

    This type of dryer fits perfectly in the bathroom for the bathroom.

    It includes:

    • Two brackets, which are fixed to the ceiling surface with dowels and self-tapping screws;
    • Several rods... The linen is actually hung on them;
    • Ropes, lowering and lifting rods. In some models, the rope system has an additional attachment to the wall.

    As a result, we can talk about the following advantages of this design solution:

    • Save space... If you do not need to dry your clothes, then you simply lift the crossbars up to the ceiling;
    • ... The vertical mount is capable of supporting a noticeably heavy weight;
    • Convenientinstructionexploitation... You just need to lower one crossbar, hang it with the necessary linen, among which there may even be a large duvet cover, and then simply pull on the rope, sending the wet fabric to the ceiling. The main convenience lies in the fact that you do not need to reach up with your own hands, all manipulations take place right in front of you;
    • The ability to dry items that cannot be folded... You can lower all the barbells to one level, which as a result will give you a comfortable table on which a woolen sweater or other whimsical thing in this regard is perfectly located.

    In general, I personally purchased and installed just such a dryer in my bathroom. But everyone is free to make their own choice.

    In the process of shopping, you may come across such representatives of this equipment:

    • Model "Gimi Lift 180":

    • Luminarc 1.4 m model:

    Substitute # 3: battery dryer

    A fairly convenient option for those bathrooms that are heated I am. Wet things will just be in close proximity to the heating element, which will greatly speed up the drying process.

    The main disadvantage of such structures is their small area and, accordingly, the carrying capacity. So, for example, drying a sheet on a structure attached to a heating radiator will be very problematic, if not to say that it is completely impossible.

    Installation in this case is quite simple: the product is simply thrown with hooks on the battery, and the rest rests against it. After use, it can be removed and hidden away from the eyes.

    Substitute # 4: hot tub dryer

    Another controversial device, which is a set of tubes and support legs, which is placed directly on top of the bathing tank.

    The advantages of such a device:

    • Saving useful space the bathroom itself... That is, you can move freely around the bathroom;
    • Ease of operation... Here, as in the previous two cases, you do not need to reach anywhere, all the linen bars are right in front of you;
    • Large enough capacity... In this case, there will be no problems with the duvet cover.

    Minuses:

    • Large dimensions that cause inconvenience at a time when the dryer is not in use, because it still needs to be hidden somewhere so that it does not interfere;
    • Impossibility to accept water procedures in the font itself during the operation of the structure.

    And here's what you can find in stores:

    • Model "GIMI Alablock":

    • Model "GIMI Varadero":

    Substitute # 5: floor dryer

    In fact, this is a folding table, which during operation can be placed not only in the bathroom, but in general in any room of your house or apartment... No installation works its use is not foreseen.

    In the process of finding a suitable instance, you may come across the following options:

    • Model "Gimi DUPLO":

    • Leifheit Roma model:

    Conclusion

    There is no balcony and is it dangerous to hang out the washed laundry on the street? There is a solution: get one of the types of dryers installed in bathrooms, and then your things will dry, without disturbing anyone, and at the same time will be completely safe, being under your vigilant supervision. Moreover, there are enough types of such structures to choose the most suitable one.
