    Reading time ≈ 12 minutes

    Every year metal contours lose their relevance - they are being pushed out of polypropylene pipes, more profitable and convenient in a private house, but its scheme may be different. But the essence of the differences lies not at all in the number and size of heated rooms, but in the method of supplying and returning the coolant, the principle of the arrangement of radiators, and so on. You will learn about everything from the materials below and on this page.

    Polypropylene heating circuits

    In order to choose a heating scheme, at a minimum, you need to know what it can be in general and whether it is suitable in this or that case, that is, exactly for your home. In addition, it is necessary to choose the right pipes for the circuit, which will be of different diameters in certain sections of the system.

    About PPR pipes

    PPR-reinforced pipe for heating and hot water supply in section

    The top photo shows a reinforced polypropylene pipe that should be used for the installation of heating circuits, but instead of aluminum foil, there may be glass fabric. Of course, each manufacturer will find many positive factors for one or another reinforcing material, but practice shows that in operation they are no different, so it does not matter which one you prefer. The main difference lies in the section, wall thickness and the location of the reinforcing layer (in the middle or closer to the surface). Below you will see “cold” (PN-10, PN-16) and “hot” (PN-20, PN-25) options with a description of their technical characteristics.

    There are four levels of classification for polypropylene:

    1. PPR PN-10 - working temperature not higher than 45⁰C, working pressure up to 1 MPa. Designed for cold storage, although it is used extremely rarely.
    2. PPR PN-16 - working temperature not higher than 60⁰C, working pressure up to 1.6 MPa. It is used for cold water supply in the civil and industrial sector.
    3. PPR PN-20 - working temperature not higher than 90⁰C, working pressure up to 2 MPa. Such a pipe is called universal and is used for cold water supply, hot water supply and heating.
    4. PPR PN-25 - operating temperature no higher than 95⁰C, operating pressure up to 2.5 MPa, can be used for any plumbing purposes, but 99% is used for heating.

    Temperature and pressure table for PPR

    Note to the table. Based on pressure, any polypropylene pipes are suitable for autonomous heating. But with an increase in the operating temperature, they become soft and bent. They are protected from deformation by aluminum or fiberglass reinforcement.

    For PPR PN-25 welding, it is cleaned with a shiver.

    Forced circulation systems

    One-pipe heating circuit with forced circulation

    1. Boiler with any energy source.
    2. Water discharge pipe.
    3. Expansion capacity.
    4. Circulation pump on the return and / or inside the boiler.
    5. Tap.
    6. Coolant supply.
    7. Valves (taps) Mayevsky.
    8. Heating devices ..
    9. Return of cooled water.
    10. Ground wire.
    11. Uranus.
    12. Water-folding unit.
    13. Cranes.
    14. Main pipe.

    Vertical wiring with forced circulation

    When the supply of the coolant is carried out in a compulsory manner and does not depend on the slope of the pipe, then it is possible to connect here according to any principle, which are shown in the diagrams above. Set circulation pump it is possible on the return (return) separately from the boiler, if it is not there or simply the built-in pump cannot cope with pumping the coolant to the required height or distance.

    When more than three heating devices are installed, it makes sense to have different pipe diameters on the circuit. For the supply, as a rule, thicker pipes are installed, where the outer Ø25 mm or Ø32 mm, and the DN (internal nominal bore) is Ø15.6 mm or Ø16.2 mm, respectively. Horizontal PPR and bends to heating devices are usually made PPR Ø20 mm and DN 13.2 mm. As an exception for bends, you can use metal-plastic, but taking into account the reduction fittings, this will be more expensive and no better.

    Is a one-pipe system cheaper than a two-pipe system?

    Two-pipe connection diagrams

    In two-pipe schemes, just like in single-pipe schemes, there can be both natural and forced circulation of the coolant. In terms of efficiency, they practically do not differ from each other, but sometimes it may be that less materials will be spent on a two-pipe than not a one-pipe, if we calculate not for pipes, but for the number of fittings.

    Natural circulation wiring

    Natural circulation two-pipe circuit (bottom routing) *
    * Explanation of the diagram. The expansion tank is not drawn here, but it must be here and cut from the upper supply point. Most often, the pipe with the largest diameter goes into the attic to the expander, and the lounger cuts into it.

    Wiring a circuit with a lower coolant supply on a two-pipe system is, of course, permissible, but only if no more than 4-5 radiators are involved. In addition, this layout is more suitable for one floor. The main problem of such a device is that if the constant slope is 3-5 mm / linear m, then there will be little pressure for the last points and the feed slope will have to be increased, but what will this result in? Let's say you have five radiators at a distance of 5 m from the boiler and from each other. If the slope is 5 mm / linear m, then the distance between the outlet at the boiler and the inlet to the last battery will be 5 * 5 * 5 = 125 mm plus the width of four radiators (say, 500 mm each), which means that in general it will turn out 125 + 4 * 5 = 145 mm, which is a lot.

    Top routing systems are more suitable for natural circulation

    Numbering in the image:

    1. Boiler for any fuel.
    2. Supply riser.
    3. Water supply circuit.
    4. Interfloor supply risers.
    5. Return risers.
    6. Return loop.
    7. Expansion capacity.

    When the supply pipe passes above the heating devices, then the difference in the slope of 15 cm or even more is not so terrible, moreover, it is not at all necessary to mount the pipe directly above the radiators - this can be done under the ceiling and hidden in the box. But this top image is more about two-story house, so here the slope will not cause any inconvenience during installation.

    Forced circulation wiring

    Two-pipe indoor installation systems

    In this case, it can be either from the top (it is quite rare), or from the bottom feed, as well as with the bottom, side or diagonal connection (the last option is the best). It is called closed for the reason that the expansion tank here is of a membrane type, where the coolant accumulates to a certain pressure, but if it exceeds the norm, then the safety valve is triggered. This design is beneficial since the system is under pressure at all times, which improves circulation.

    Collector indoor installation system

    The collector method of distributing the coolant will help to save money due to the difference in the diameter of the pipes, and this is most important for two-story houses, where on each level there are several large rooms. From the boiler, you can raise a Ø40 mm riser (large collector), and from it, spread Ø32 mm loungers (small collectors) along the floors, from which pipes Ø25 mm will go to each room. For the return, it is better to use a medium pipe Ø32 mm. However, a lot depends on the location and number of rooms and a situation is very possible where you have to do only with a large collector.

    Attention! With collector wiring, the comb must be not only on the supply, but also on the return pipe!

    Balancing valve with thumbscrew for regulating the heating flow

    When more than three or four heating devices are connected to the supply in one row, then the performance of the last points significantly decreases, therefore, it is necessary to somehow distribute the flow so that it is uniform. For this purpose, balancing valves are used, which are screwed into the radiator before the supply is diverted, and they are usually used only for the first points. Such devices can be adjusted with a lamb, as in the photo above, or with a hexagon (models are different).

    Connecting heating devices according to the Tichelman scheme

    Most often, especially at long distances, the balancing valves, although they help, do not bring one hundred percent effect, that is, if the first radiator heats up, for example, to 60⁰C, then the last one in the circuit or in the wing of the circuit will gain no more than 40⁰C. To fix the status quo, you can make a layout according to the Tichelman system - this is very simple and does not require any special efforts. Look at the diagram above: the supply there is from the left side, and the return flow is from the right, but at the same time the first battery in the supply is the last one on the discharge of the coolant, and the last one on the supply is the first on the discharge. So you can align temperature regime at all points, regardless of their location in the harness. I recommend watching a video on the three main connection methods and Tichelman's circuit as well.

    Pipes, taps. polypropylene lines and fittings

    When one-pipe or two-pipe heating is made from polypropylene pipes, it will be correct if all taps, fittings and bypasses are also made of the same material, although in most of them, with the exception of couplings, tees and plugs, there is an alloy of brass. But, nevertheless, the PPR in this case more reliable than metal- it is not afraid of sudden changes in temperature and water hammer due to its relative elasticity.

    40 18 10-16 6 20 4

    Table of depth and duration of welding of polypropylene joints

    Explanation of the table. For example, to install radiators, Ø20 mm bends are needed and in order to weld it with any PPR fitting, you need to heat the soldering iron to 270-280⁰C. On one side, put the fitting on the nozzle, and on the other, insert the pipe, adhering to a depth of 14 mm (you can mark with a pencil or marker), as shown in the photo above and hold for 6-8 seconds. After that, remove both heated sides and for no more than 4 seconds join them and hold them with your hands for 6 seconds, and after another 2 seconds you can start welding the next joint.

    Conclusion

    Using the heating schemes given in this article, you can weld a circuit for connection with your own hands from polypropylene pipes. If you decide on self-assembly, be sure to mark the location of all heating devices, count their number and then decide which of the options is best for you to use.

    A heating scheme from polypropylene pipes of a private dwelling can be developed by its owner without the involvement of specialists. There are no special difficulties in designing such systems with your own hands.

    This is the very first question to be solved by everyone who is interested in a polypropylene heating system. There are two types of routing - top and bottom. In the first case, the pipeline (supply) is laid in the attic or under the ceiling surface. And the risers go down from it. Heating devices are connected to them. The return pipeline with the upper wiring from is laid in the cellar of a private house or along the floor.

    Upper wiring of polypropylene pipes in the house

    When setting up such systems, pay attention to the following important tips:

    1. In the attic, you should definitely install an air vent with your own hands, which will automatically bleed air from heating system, and a special expansion tank. The latter is necessary to protect the pipeline and equipment from pressure drops.
    2. Do not use the circulating pump.

    With the lower wiring diagram, both pipelines (return and supply) are laid under the ceiling of the cellar or along the floor of the basement (first) floor of a private house. Moreover, the pipes are laid parallel to each other. This scheme is used with a separate supply of hot water to each heating riser.

    Wiring of polypropylene pipes is carried out horizontally or vertically. The first installation scheme is implemented if the house has one main riser, from which two or one-pipe horizontal floor branches extend. Such systems are typical for small commercial buildings and private dwellings with 2-3 floors. V last years they began to be used in the arrangement of heating of high-rise buildings. In this case, a separate branch of the pipeline is started up for each apartment.

    The horizontal wiring can be perimeter and radial. With a perimeter scheme, heating is carried out from the main riser. Moreover, the coolant within a separate apartment (or an entire floor of a residential building) moves in stages. This creates certain inconveniences. You have to disconnect the entire perimeter of polypropylene pipes from the coolant if you plan to repair or replace a separate heating device (battery) with your own hands.

    The perimeter installation system is good in that the pipes can be laid in the floor using hidden technology. But here it is worth understanding that the wiring (absolutely all) is located at the same level horizontally. This means that it will be very problematic to drain the coolant from a separate perimeter.

    Perimeter installation system for polypropylene water supply

    With radial wiring, polypropylene tubular products are sent to separate rooms in the apartment (to each). In this case, the system is also powered from one central riser. The merging of individual beams of the line is carried out near the main riser in a special comb (it can be mounted without any problems with your own hands).

    The advantage of beam mounting is that it is allowed to turn off only one heating branch if it is necessary to repair the system. The remaining rays continue to function, heating the rest of the rooms.

    The beam scheme involves the installation of polypropylene pipes in the floor base with their obligatory pouring with a concrete screed. It is clear that it is difficult to carry out maintenance of such a structure in a private house with your own hands. If any pipe breaks down, you have to open the screed.

    Such problems do not arise with a vertical layout (it is often called classic). It is ideal for 2–3 storey buildings. In this case, there are several heating risers. They carry hot water from floor to floor. At any time, you can replace or repair any one riser with your own hands, without touching the rest.

    Heating mains made of polypropylene pipes in the house can be single-pipe and double-pipe. In the first case, all heating devices in a private house are alternately supplied to the main pipe. The disadvantage of the circuit is poor heating of the batteries at the very end of such a heating chain. This is explained by the fact that hot water cools while driving on the highway.

    One-pipe systems are installed in small dwellings. Moreover, the living rooms are always connected to the riser first. And then all the technical premises.

    For a large private house, a two-pipe system is more suitable. In it, the return and supply lines are laid in parallel. Due to this, all heating batteries receive a coolant with the same temperature. Naturally, during repairs, only one riser can be disconnected from the system. The rest of it will work as before.

    Two-pipe piping system

    When installing two-pipe lines with your own hands, it is advisable to design the lower one-sided connection of the system elements. This is easy to do with the help of special fittings with a special temperature controller. It will give you the opportunity to establish a comfortable microclimate in all rooms.

    It is quite possible to create a high-quality heating system from PP pipes with your own hands. But you should definitely take into account the following recommendations:

    1. Polypropylene products Dn 20x3.4 are supplied to metal-plastic pipes with dimensions 16x2, Dn 25x4.2 - to pipes 20x2, Dn32x5.4 - to 26x3.
    2. It is undesirable to use PP pipes with parameters more than 20x3.4 when implementing a two-pipe heating scheme powered by a pipeline (main).
    3. The maximum length of the branch supplying the coolant from the last battery to the heating boiler is 25 m. If the length of the line is longer, uniform heating of the radiators is impossible.

    High-quality heating system made of PP pipes

    Note! All work on connecting PP pipes with your own hands must be done using special soldering devices. Such tools are designed specifically for soldering polymer products. Others cannot be used.

    One more point. The first soldering of polypropylene pipes usually causes certain difficulties for DIYers. Therefore, experts advise to practice in front of her. Purchase inexpensive pipes, try to connect them with a soldering tool, fill your hand, and only then proceed with the installation of the heating system.

    In addition to posting the plan, the management is obliged to enter information about the instructions conducted among the workers in the processing log annually or several times a quarter. The whole process is accurately timed. Each time the journal displays the date of the briefing, the initials and the position of the person in charge.

    An example of a heating system in a private house

    Often, in order to save money, managers try to draw up an evacuation plan on their own, but it is impossible to comply with all the requirements. Therefore, everyone orders a document in a special licensed enterprise. In the upper part of the sheet, in the center, place the table of contents of the document: "Evacuation plan". The name of the company and its address are indicated under the heading. This is followed by a graphical floor plan with green guides.

    All this is complemented by visual instructions with the algorithm for the actions of workers in case of fire, while using symbols and safety signs. Usually, a block is placed in the lower left corner with a detailed explanation of all conventional signs and symbols. In the lower right part of the sheet, the manufacturer of the plan is mentioned. The document is framed with a metal frame.

    All plans are drawn up in accordance with the requirements of regulatory legal acts, taking into account the scope of activity. This issue is dealt with by a leader or a specially appointed person. It is best to contact an organization that has a license for manufacturing, design, etc. Constant training and the obligatory familiarization of each employee with the plan and responsibilities can save more than one human life.

    Consider how to independently mount the heating of a private house from polypropylene pipes and how to correctly calculate the wiring cross-section. After all, any residential, private or winter period must be equipped with such a system. And of all existing materials, polypropylene is considered to be of high quality, affordable and reliable.

    Installation of polypropylene heating pipes

    When creating a system, you must have minimal experience in performing construction works and the presence of a manual welding machine. Now you can start installing the heating of a private house from polypropylene pipes.

    What is included in the scheme

    Before starting work, they think over everything, for this they take into account the placement of elements such as:

    • boiler;
    • radiators;
    • expansion tank;
    • wiring.

    If the house is large, then a separate room can be allocated for the boiler. But this is in the event that the heating equipment is supposed to remove the combustion products through, that is naturally... To create its walls, they are covered with a material that prevents fire from spreading and meets safety requirements.

    Heating system installation diagram

    In order for the heating in a private house to be carried out correctly, it is necessary to calculate the length of the polypropylene pipes.

    To do this, take into account:

    • the size of the rooms;
    • system turns;
    • number of connections;
    • the number of walls;
    • floor length.

    A heating system made of polypropylene pipes in a private house is performed in two main options, which differ in the supply of the coolant. She may be:

    • top;
    • bottom.

    In the first version, the liquid circulates inside the system independently, and in the second - with the help of a pressure pump. In the latter case, the wiring can have various bends and connections. This type of supply is also used in multi-storey buildings.
    When installing the upper wiring, the pipeline is located in the attic or under the ceiling, from which the risers go down, and from them they are connected to heating devices.

    This is the supply pipeline, and the return is located in the basement or along the floor. Such a system is used if it is possible to organize the natural circulation of water in the system or if it is not possible to hide the wiring in the basement or in the floor.

    If you decide to mount this type of wiring, then take into account that an expansion tank should be placed in the attic (stabilizes the system from pressure surges) and an air vent.

    With bottom wiring, return and supply pipelines are placed along the floor of the basement or first floor, or under the ceiling of the basement, parallel to each other. It is used if the calculation assumes an independent supply of coolant to each riser of the system.

    Types of heating by the number of pipes and risers

    Allocate one- and two-pipe systems. In the first version, the heating of a private building is gradually connected to radiators.

    An example of a two-pipe heating system for a cottage

    This means that hot water (liquid) passing through all devices loses temperature, and therefore the last batteries are much colder. This system is suitable for residential buildings with a small area, and then first the rooms are connected, and then the technical rooms. If we consider a two-pipe system, then it can be noted that the flows are separated here, since the return and supply pipelines run in parallel.

    In this version, a coolant with an equally high temperature is suitable for each radiator, since a branched system is used. The advantage of this wiring is that, if necessary, you can turn off one battery or riser, and the rest will continue to function.

    Installation of a two-pipe heating system

    By the number of risers, vertical and horizontal wiring are distinguished. In the first version, the installation of heating from polypropylene pipes looks like this: the risers carry the coolant from one floor to another. With horizontal wiring, there is one central riser and horizontal branches (one or two-pipe) are distributed over the floors.

    In turn, it is divided into:

    • perimeter;
    • beam.

    Polypropylene pipes are widely used today in the arrangement engineering systems in private buildings and apartments. Such material is versatile, durable and has an affordable cost. Do-it-yourself heating of a private house from polypropylene will solve all heat problems, while the homeowner will be relieved of the need to repair and maintain the utilities he has performed.

    Material description

    Polypropylene is synthetic material which is durable, has low thermal conductivity, excellent quality, is resistant to corrosion and is offered at an affordable cost. Pipes made of PVC will be able to serve for many decades without requiring any care and maintenance. The use of special fittings allows for dismountable and non-dismountable connections, guaranteeing maximum durability and trouble-free operation.

    For the arrangement of autonomous heating in an apartment and in a private house, polypropylene pipes are used with internal inserts made of durable aluminum foil. Fiberglass reinforcement is also possible for maximum strength and thermal stability. The features and type of reinforcing material must be taken into account when choosing fittings and making connections, which will ensure the quality of the work performed.

    Among the main characteristics of polypropylene pipes, one can single out indicators of working and permissible pressure, external and internal diameters, and wall thickness of products. The pipes used in autonomous heating systems are of excellent quality and are completely standardized. The choice of a particular modification will depend on the characteristics of the operation and the financial capabilities of the homeowner.

    The most widespread today are pipes with PN 25 marking. the best option for the arrangement of autonomous heating in a private house. Thanks to the multi-layer design with strong reinforcement, maximum durability and wear resistance is ensured. Propylene is characterized by thermal stability, which makes it possible to use it in systems where the coolant has a temperature of up to 90 degrees, and the working pressure in the pipes is 2.5 MPa.

    The use of an aluminum interlayer in PN 25 pipes allows to reduce the coefficient of thermal expansion. This makes it easier to do installation works reducing the homeowner's costs of purchasing custom fittings. In the future, leaks and damage to the heating circuit are completely excluded.

    how to make heating from polypropylene (expert advice)

    Advantages and disadvantages of polypropylene

    In recent years, there has been a tendency when polypropylene pipes are replacing classic metal and cast iron products. This is explained by the excellent performance characteristics of the material. To the advantages of pipes that are used to equip heating systems in a private house, include the following:

    The disadvantages of using polypropylene for laying pipes for heating systems include the dependence of product quality on compliance with technology and raw materials. Therefore, when buying, you should give preference to products from well-established manufacturers. This will exclude premature failure and the possibility of damage to the heating circuit.

    Heating installation

    Polypropylene is a versatile material that can significantly reduce the cost of laying piping for an autonomous heating system. PVC joining can be performed using three main technologies:

    Welding pipes and arranging polypropylene thermal loops is not particularly difficult. All the necessary fittings, tees and other connectors are on sale, which can significantly simplify the work with this material. You just need to use a special soldering iron with nozzles corresponding to the diameter, which will allow you to do all the work yourself. You can both purchase such equipment and rent it in order to significantly reduce the cost of installation work.

    Design features

    Before proceeding directly with the purchase of heating equipment, PVC pipes and fittings, it is necessary to prepare project documentation... Ideally, the heating scheme in a private house made of polypropylene should be performed by a specialist with relevant experience. This will allow you to design a high-quality autonomous heating system that will solve heat problems in the house, while simplifying its operation, preventing various breakdowns and difficulties with the use of equipment.

    Wiring types

    The installation technology and the method of laying polypropylene pipes will depend on the characteristics of the heating system in a private house. To date, the greatest 2 types of installation of plastic products have become widespread:

    In each specific case, the type of installation is chosen depending on the characteristics of the heating equipment used, the area of the building and its number of storeys. In private country houses where permanent residents apply bottom forced spill to ensure heating efficiency and significant reduction in utility costs.

    Required tools and equipment

    Arrangement of a heating circuit made of polypropylene pipes is not particularly difficult, so this work can be done independently. Installation requires the following equipment:

    Having prepared all the materials and tools used, you can proceed to the installation work. The pipes are laid from the boiler, gradually assembling the circuit and connecting heating radiators through the fittings.

    Self-soldering pipeline

    The main difficulty in laying a PVC thermal circuit is the correct tight connection of pipes for which special fittings and tees are used. For such work you will need welding machine melting plastic. The parts to be fastened are connected to each other at the molecular level. This allows us to guarantee maximum strength, reliability and complete tightness of the completed pipeline.

    Do-it-yourself installation of heating from polypropylene pipes is performed in the following sequence:

    The warm-up time for pipes and fittings will depend on the thickness of the product, the presence or absence of metal and fiberglass braids, and a number of other factors. The instructions for the device tell you how to solder the heating in a private house. Also here you can find all the necessary information about the heating time of products. You just need to know their markings and specifications to make a high-quality and reliable connection of plastic parts.

    DOUBLE-PIPE HEATING SYSTEM - do it yourself !!!

    After the pipes have been laid, a test run of the boiler is carried out, all connections are checked for leaks. The pipes in the groove can be filled with concrete or closed with plastic decorative plugs. All that remains to be done is to set up a home boiler, after which the heating equipment will work in a completely autonomous mode.

    The use of polypropylene pipes for autonomous heating can significantly reduce the costs of the homeowner, such material is not subject to corrosion and scale formation, the heating circuit itself does not require any additional maintenance and repair.

    Polypropylene pipes differ high quality and at the same time have an affordable cost, which makes them a popular material. These products have low thermal conductivity, which allows you to maintain the temperature of the coolant. The ease of assembly of the structure allows you to quickly make high-quality heating in a private house from polypropylene pipes with your own hands.

    The strength and durability of the structure depends on the quality of polypropylene pipes.

    Technical characteristics of polypropylene pipes for heating: features

    All the necessary information in the form of marking is applied to the pipe walls. The polypropylene label is referred to as PP. Also on the surface of the product, you can see the following designations:

    • manufacturer's logo;
    • designation of product modifications PP-random PPRC and PPs;
    • working medium pressure and admissible pressure in bar;
    • product wall thickness and outer diameter.

    Products with internal aluminum foil inserts are used for heating. Reinforcement of polypropylene pipes with fiberglass is also used in heating circuits, hot water supply and in underfloor heating structures.

    If the inner layer consists of fiberglass, then when heated, a slight elongation of the linear sections may occur. Valves and fittings are made from a similar copolymer. The inner diameter of the connecting elements corresponds to the outer section. Clamps are used to fasten vertical and horizontal sections of the pipeline. Connecting and fittings are selected individually for each room.

    Some types of polypropylene are suitable for heating. It is a random copolymer, as well as cross-linked polypropylene and a special heat-resistant modification, which is characterized by high thermal resistance.

    Note! Sections of polypropylene pipes that pass through partitions and walls are finished with a bushing, which protects the surface from abrasion and prevents material from shifting when heated.

    Piping in the diagram

    To install a high-quality heating system, a properly executed piping is required. Water is used as a traditional heat carrier. Resistance of highways to high temperatures is an the most important indicator durability of the structure.

    The properties of the inner surface do not impede flow resistance. Impurities in the coolant do not form deposits. Aluminum-reinforced polypropylene pipes for heating, as evidenced by the reviews of professionals, serve as a guarantee of oxygen penetration into the system. In addition, an interlayer of foil-clad metal protects the heat exchanger structure from corrosion and improves the performance of the system.

    Even if the system is frozen, the polypropylene lines will not collapse.

    Important! Not used for polypropylene pipes. They are replaced with steel, brass or copper products.

    Nuances of performing heat welding

    The installation of structures made of polypropylene products is performed at a temperature of at least five degrees. For heat sealing, special parts are used.

    Heat welding consists of the following stages of work:

    • the pipe is cut according to the previously made markings;
    • the cut must be cleaned and lubricated with acetone;
    • the boundaries of the melt are necessarily marked with a pencil;
    • the tool is being heated;
    • the elements are melted;

    When performing heating in a private house from polypropylene pipes with your own hands, you need to withstand a certain voltage of electric current in a soldering iron. After the joints have solidified, the seams are checked for welding defects and the straightness of the joints. The strength test of the system is checked after 16 hours have elapsed.

    Options for schemes from polypropylene pipes

    It is important to choose the right wiring diagram. For houses with a small area, the option with natural circulation is used. For large buildings, a two-pipe system with forced circulation is used.

    For high-quality piping, it is necessary to calculate the throughput of pipes and determine their diameter. If the heat consumption is calculated correctly, then this will reduce heat losses... Hydraulic calculations can be carried out using a special program. The traditional methods include a one-pipe scheme of a private house with your own hands.

    Such systems function under the influence of gravitational forces. To increase the speed of the flow, a certain flow is required. When connecting radiators in series thermal energy difficult to distribute evenly. Rooms located further from the boiler will heat up worse.

    When installing a heating system in a private house, the following options should be considered:

    • a one-pipe scheme is characterized by the fact that the line is connected to each heating device. In this case, the coolant, as it moves away from it, loses its temperature, the last radiators will be colder;

    • The two-pipe design is distinguished by the separation of the return and supply pipelines, operating in parallel. This option is used in branched circuits, when it is required to deliver a coolant with the same temperature value to each radiator. V emergency you can turn off one radiator or riser.
