• What can you cook from squid: quick and tasty

    When purchasing a coveted summer cottage, a good owner will first of all begin to equip the water supply system and this will be true. Do-it-yourself summer water supply in the country is not so difficult. Indeed, without life-giving moisture, you will not only be unable to grow a normal crop, but any construction will be very difficult.

    Even if you bring quickly assembled country houses from block containers, they will need some kind of small foundation, for the arrangement of which water is needed. Renting a diesel generator for a summer residence will solve the problem of power supply for a while, but without water there will be little joy from this.

    Where to get water

    There are several traditional sources of moisture intake, which one is preferable for your site should be decided purely individually. We, in turn, will tell you about the most common ones.

    Advice: if there is such an opportunity, it is better to start drawing up a project by interviewing your nearest neighbors. By taking advantage of their experience and taking into account their mistakes, significant costs can be avoided.

    Good old well

    If in your area the depth of the aquifer with high-quality drinking water is within 3 - 15 m, then you should not reinvent the wheel. The well will be the best solution for you.

    The cost of arranging an average well will not be much higher than drilling a well on sand. If the site does not stand on rocks, then 2 - 3 people can dig a well in 1 - 2 weeks.

    It is most convenient to do this with the help of concrete rings, the first ring is installed in the pit and the soil is selected from under it. As it deepens, the structure is built on top.

    Important: unlike a well, the service life of wells fluctuates around 50 years. Plus, in case of a power outage, water from the well can be raised with a bucket.

    Well drilling

    There are 2 types of wells, sand and artesian. The depth of the well on the sand, depending on the location, ranges from 10 to 50 m. The horizon can begin immediately behind the first layers of dense loam. The same loam acts as a natural filter, purifying groundwater and melt water.

    The water reserve depends on the thickness of the reservoir, but on average, up to 500 liters of water can be obtained from such a well per day. Sand or silt clogging of submersible pumps and filtration systems can be a serious problem.

    Such constructions often do not live long, from about 5 to 20 years. But if you find yourself on a deep underground river and properly equip the wellbore, then such a source can last longer.

    Experts advise to drill such wells by hand, and it is better to look for a place for drilling using old-fashioned methods. From experience, with this approach, the likelihood of finding a quality source increases significantly. With machine drilling, you can simply skip the desired horizon.

    Water in artesian wells is extracted from a limestone horizon. It is certainly more rigid, but it is distinguished by exceptional purity. The burial depth is not predictable here.

    In the rocks, you can stumble upon an underground lake as early as 30 - 40 meters. But there is an option to drill more than 100 meters.

    Arrangement of such wells is quite expensive and, as a rule, they are done together. In addition to serious financial investments, you will also need official permission from the authorities, because artesian water is the property of the state. But on the other hand, there is a high probability of providing themselves with clean water within the next 50 years.

    Alternative ways

    A simple and relatively reliable option is to connect to a ready-made backbone. Now this can be done directly under pressure. For this, a tee with a ball valve is used.

    The tee is bolted to the line, after which a hole is drilled in the pipe and the valve is quickly closed. Then you can mount the branch.

    Alternatively, you can use water from natural reservoirs located nearby, but no one will give you a guarantee of purity. Therefore, this water is more suitable for irrigation. Can also be collected in separate tanks rainwater, but of course we are not talking about any serious scale.

    Methods for arranging a water supply system

    For irrigation and some household needs, you can mount a temporary or stationary summer water supply system.

    Collapsible design

    The collapsible version of the system is mounted from flexible silicone or rubber hoses. They are connected by metal or plastic adapters and connectors. Such fittings are not expensive, plus they are easy to make with your own hands.

    Speaking of the advantages, it should be noted that the price of such a structure will not be high, plus it can be assembled in a couple of hours. Any damage can be quickly found and repaired here.

    But such a system is very vulnerable. Pipes in it, as a rule, lie directly on the ground or are mounted above the ground on special suspensions, so they can be easily damaged.

    At the end of the season, it will need to be disassembled and hidden, as there is a possibility of theft. Seasoned summer residents know that the most unpleasant thing here is that everything will cling to these hoses.

    Tip: for the installation of a temporary structure experienced summer residents lay a collapsible pipeline from HDPE pipes. It runs in the center of the site and is equipped with several nodes for connecting flexible silicone hoses. Such a system is much simpler and more practical, plus much less flexible hose is required.

    Stationary summer system

    A stationary water supply system, of course, is more convenient than a collapsible one, since it is laid underground, it will not interfere and spoil the landscape of the site. Do not be confused by the word stationary, the price of such a structure will not be much higher than that of a temporary system. Of course, you will have to tinker with the arrangement, but believe me, it's worth it.

    Another big plus is that a well-laid central highway of the system can, if necessary, become the basis for arranging a winter water supply system in the house.

    • As in any business, you should start with the creation of a project.... Here, the more carefully and scrupulously you write and draw each node and sector of the system, the easier it will be to select equipment, materials and carry out installation.
    • From experience, we can say that it is better to draw a sketch directly on the ground, that is, independently go through every meter and turn of the highway... This will make it easier to calculate the number of connectors and determine how many connection points you need.

    • The central line and branches by sector can be made from polypropylene pipes or from polyethylene pipes low pressure HDPE... In terms of costs, these systems are approximately equal, the fact is that polypropylene pipes are more expensive than HDPE, but the price of couplings and connectors for HDPE equalizes the cost of the estimate.
    • Also note that polypropylene pipes are soldered, therefore, you will need a power source... The structure of HDPE pipes can be assembled without soldering.

    Important: to install a polypropylene pipe system, you will need a special soldering iron. Now many shopping centers lease a soldering iron, provided that the material is purchased from them, this is very convenient, since the system can be assembled in 1 - 2 days and is not spent separately on a soldering iron.

    • If the total length of the system does not exceed 30 m, then pipes with a diameter of 20 mm are sufficient for its installation. But experts advise laying the central line with pipes with a diameter of 25 mm, and wiring by sector can already be done with twenty-millimeter pipes. For a low pressure system, it is best to fully use 25 mm pipes.
    • Installation instructions standard... All pipes should be placed taking into account that the water from the system must be drained for the winter. That is, the entire system must go downhill and a valve or valve must be installed at the lowest point to drain the system. The lowest point is made in the area of the water intake.
    • If you are installing the system for, then the depth of the bookmark is done in the region of 20 - 30 cm... To water the beds, the pipe must be buried to a depth of about half a meter, so as not to damage it when digging with a shovel or cultivator.

    • For the installation of a structure made of HDPE pipes, you will need special couplings equipped with an internal and external thread... Although they already have O-rings installed, it is also advisable to wind up the fum tape on the thread, it is wound clockwise without folds, 6 - 8 turns. This will significantly increase the density and, consequently, the durability of the connection.
    • The pipe is driven and pushed inside the coupling to a hard stop, this is about 50 mm... The clutch can be tightened by hand, but at the end it should be slightly tightened with a gas wrench # 2. Taps and tees for wiring are connected in the same way.
    • For trimming plastic pipes there are special scissors and roller cutters, thanks to which the cut is smooth and does not require additional processing... But if you do not want to spend money on such a specialized tool, then you can use an ordinary hacksaw for metal, however, in this case, the burrs on the cut are removed with a round file.

    Advice: when purchasing a clutch for connecting an aquapistol or other sprinkler, it is better to take a so-called clutch with aquastop, a valve is mounted in it, thanks to which you do not need to turn off the water when replacing the device.

    • As a rule, the central line is laid from the water intake to the house and conclusions are drawn from it for connecting a flexible hose or wiring by sectors... It makes sense to make it more thoroughly, so that it is possible to supply water to the house, if, for example, you decide to meet New Year in the country.
    • Many experts advise that the pipe does not freeze, lay it deeper than the level of soil freezing.... But in some areas of our homeland, the level of freezing reaches 1.5 m and this is quite difficult to do. It is much easier to bury the pipe to a depth of 30-50 cm and insulate it.
    • For insulation, a bed of technical polyethylene is laid out at the bottom of the trench, you can take a cut plastic pipe large diameter ... Any porous, non-hygroscopic material, such as foam chips, slag or expanded clay, can be used as an insulating filler.
    • A special wire is attached to the main pipe itself... When connected to the mains, it will heat up and prevent the line from freezing during operation, pipes with a built-in heating thread are produced, but they are expensive.
    • The pipe is laid on the insulation and covered from above with the same layer of insulation... After that, the entire structure is closed with waterproofing and covered with soil.

    Tip: it is better to take cast iron, brass or bronze taps and valves for connecting in a house or greenhouse. Composite ball valves will not last long.

    • When choosing a pump, keep in mind that the passport indicates from what depth it can raise water... So, to the real depth of your well or well, you need to add the length of the irrigation distribution system at the rate of 1m of vertical lift.

    The video in this article shows some of the intricacies of installing a plumbing.

    Excellent article 0

    The country water supply system made of plastic pipes does not differ much from its counterpart in ordinary apartments... The thing is that here it is necessary not only to supply water to the valves and household appliances but also provide a watering system.

    The latter reason places high demands on pump performance and well headroom.

    The reality looks in such a way that the power supply is often cut off in the suburban areas. For this reason, it is necessary to consider a water reserve.

    Some of the nuances of laying the plumbing system in the country

    The device for a country water supply system made of plastic is as follows. The water supply in this case is carried out by pump, which supplies fluid from a storage tank or hydraulic accumulator.

    When installing the storage tank, the liquid supply will be equal to the volume of the tank container. But, its bottom should not be located below the water intake points. Then there will always be water in the taps.

    The use of a hydraulic accumulator is more convenient because there will always be constant pressure in such a system. If a pump and an automatic pressure switch are added to this device, then the whole structure will be called a pumping station.

    This system is implemented in summer and winter versions. The difference between the systems will be in the place where the equipment is installed.

    Which pipes are better to choose

    Most recently, this question was not raised. The water pipes for the summer cottages were used only from steel.

    At the moment, metal options are practically not taken, because an excellent alternative has appeared - plastic counterparts.

    For a suburban area better option can not found. Such pipes do not rust and do not deteriorate from the influence of low temperatures.

    Only when buying, you need to take into account the fact that plastic water pipes are different:

    • HDPE. Low-pressure polyethylene. Such products are attracted by the fact that they are designed without auxiliary elements. Fittings for such materials are threaded and can be easily screwed in by hand.
    • PVC. These pipes for a country house are used very often. They cost less than the previous version and are held together with cold soldering(for glue). The seam on such blanks comes out strong and reliable.
    • PPR. This type of plastic pipes can be used for cold and hot water and for the heating system. These materials are connected by soldering and couplings.

    When installing a water supply system from plastic pipes, you need to know that its price compares favorably with a pipeline made of metal materials.

    The price for billets for PP pipelines is as follows. That's $ 1 to $ 7 for one running meter... The price of fittings is approximately within these limits.

    The most expensive materials of this type are supplied by German and Italian firms. Products from Turkish and domestic manufacturers are much lower.

    In order for the pipeline to serve uninterruptedly, it is advised to purchase only high-quality goods from trusted manufacturers.

    Such a product costs a little more, but this is fully justified by the long and reliable operation of the built system.

    Construction of a plumbing system with your own hands

    See at the end of the article a detailed video instruction on how to conduct water supply to a private house

    It is not difficult to construct a country water supply system made of plastic with your own hands, if you carefully study all the subtleties of this matter.

    • First you need to choose a water source. The cheapest way is to build a well. Also, for such purposes, a sand well may well be suitable. Although the most the best method is an artesian well. Its service life adds up to almost 50 years.
    • Summer version of the water supply system. Already from the name it is clear that this structure is used only in the summer. This network can be collapsible and permanent. Most often, in this case, the hoses are simply pulled along the ground. And for the permanent summer version, the blanks are hidden in the ground so that they do not interfere on the surface. One drawback of such a structure is the tilt to the point of connection of the main network. At the location of the lowest point of the water supply, a drain valve is installed to drain the liquid for the winter period.
    • Winter view of the pipeline. This design refers to a capital system that can be used at any time of the year. Submersible pumps are installed to supply liquid. The power of such a mechanism is selected in accordance with the depth of the water supply. Also, for such equipment, you will have to connect a power source. The cable and water supply are allowed to be displaced in one casing of plastic blanks for the drain pipe network. It will provide excellent protection against freezing and mechanical stress.

    Organization of watering

    Water supply for irrigation in the country is a basic construction. The "summer" stage of life begins with the arrangement of the water supply.

    As already mentioned, there are temporary and permanent systems. But, the construction of any of them starts in the same way - this is the development of the project.

    When designing, it is necessary to take into account the following nuances:

    • Plastic pipe-rolling sartorial is carried out at a slope relative to the water intake.
    • They are brought to the surface only in consumption zones.
    • Usage polypropylene materials will allow you to easily mount and remodel the structure.
    • The depth of the trench for the summer water supply should be forty centimeters. It is recommended to increase this distance under the passing beds, otherwise the pipe network can be damaged during planting work.
    • For a collapsible view, rubber hoses are often used, which are connected with jumpers, or special clips. Such a fastening makes it possible to separate or fasten two pieces of water supply in one motion.
    • The location of the beds determines the number of consumption points. To facilitate the watering process, it is advised to remove the pipe in at least five places.

    Designing a water supply system for watering with your own hands

    It is not difficult to create a water supply system for watering with your own hands. After the development of the project, earthworks begin.

    The submersible pump is lowered into a well or placed in a nearby recess, which is insulated. It can be put directly in the house itself.

    If necessary, a pressure testing device and a pump are installed. After that, the pipeline is pulled along the trench to other points of water analysis.

    The battery for powering the pumping mechanism is recommended to be carried in a protected cable. You need to worry about electrical safety in any case.

    In this case, you cannot do without installing sealed connectors and grounded, moisture-proof sockets.

    To enter the pipe into the room, an emergency shut-off device is installed. After checking the operation of the suburban pipeline, the grooves can be covered with earth. Now you can proceed to the installation inside the housing.

    Device inside

    To make the use of the pipeline comfortable, you need to worry about hot water supply.

    This is achieved by installing electric or gas heating units of a storage or flow type. It is more profitable to install a storage water heater in the country.

    We suggest that you familiarize yourself in more detail with their pros and cons.

    The polypropylene pipe network will not "announce" the repair soon. This is facilitated by the wonderful specifications of these goods.

    Such workpieces are easy to install, they are not afraid of temperature changes, and the joints do not reduce the tightness at low temperatures.

    IMPORTANT! When building a water supply in country house be sure to check the sample from the water source for purity. Based on the results of laboratory research, a multi-level filtration network is installed.

    Suburban plastic plumbing will bring convenience and comfort to the standard of living outside the city.

    Modern materials make it possible to build a system that will allow you to enjoy all the benefits of modern civilization with your own hands in a short time.

    And the cost of polypropylene materials will not create large financial costs at the same time.

    Depending on local conditions, the source of water can be:

    • local water supply network;
    • water from the river near the dacha;
    • open water body of natural or artificial origin;
    • well;
    • well.

    Let's characterize each of these sources in more detail.

    Water pipes

    An operating stationary water supply system is far from uncommon in already established dacha cooperatives and horticultural associations. And new elite suburban areas can often receive water from the city or village water supply network. The owners of such dachas can only connect to the laid pipes and enjoy all the benefits of a civilized water supply.

    A constantly operating water supply system makes it possible to do without storage tanks, additional pumps and, due to this, decently save on electricity. Unfortunately, even in our time, in areas remote from large cities, the presence of such a water supply is an unrealizable desire. Therefore, you have to equip yourself summer water supply in the country.

    Water supply from the river

    In places where the river is not poisoned by sewage, industrial and domestic discharges and the ecological situation is favorable - the river water can be used not only for watering plants, but also for cooking. For dirty water there are modern filters and installations that can purify it before drinking.

    Plumbing device from a spring or reservoir

    Spring water is a source of vital energy. Such a water supply to the cottage is a real treasure. With a sufficiently large debit of water, the spring can become the source of a small man-made lake. Such water is equated to river water and can serve to meet the needs of the country.

    Well

    It is easiest to make a water supply system in a country house from a well with your own hands - this is the most common version of water intake in villages. As a rule, it is dug by hand to a relatively shallow depth. The well is fed by the upper groundwater(top water), therefore, its water regime depends on the amount of precipitation.

    In arid regions, the depth can reach more than fifteen meters, but today, under such circumstances, it is more economical to drill and equip a water well. Well water is not always suitable for drinking and then it should also be filtered, boiled, or disinfected by other methods.

    In places far from civilization, in ecologically safe areas, the water in the wells is particularly clean, and its quality is comparable to that of the spring. In such places, well water can be safely drunk and used in cooking without additional purification.

    Well

    It is the only possible source of water supply in places with poor ecological background and in arid regions. The drilling rig is able to reach the deepest aquifer located in the artesian calcareous horizon of the soil. Often, artesian wells give such a pressure of water that there is no need for an additional booster pump.

    Types of summer water supply

    Modern technologies provide an extensive selection of materials and methods for creating a summer water supply. Water in the country can be supplied using permanent (stationary) communications or collapsible (temporary).

    Portable (temporary) water supply from polyethylene pipes

    It is very simple to make a collapsible plumbing in the country with your own hands. It is quite capable of satisfying the needs of its owners. For this option, use thick-walled pipes PE (polyethylene), connected with a collet threaded fitting.

    The main advantage of PE pipes is their low cost. The main disadvantage of such a system is the expensive connection fitting. In addition, the tightness of the joints can be compromised by any displacement of the pipes. Therefore, for the summer, polyethylene pipes are laid in shallow grooves, which can be covered with suitable boards. The pipe is inconvenient for the distribution of the water supply system in the PE house and is usually not used there.

    Stationary water supply from polypropylene pipes

    Unlike collapsible, non-collapsible water supply is assembled from PP (polypropylene) pipes, which are tightly soldered into a single system using a special soldering tool. Polypropylene plastic pipes for water supply in the country are somewhat more expensive than polyethylene ones, but the cost of this fitting is a very small fraction of all the costs of creating a pipeline. Since the PP water supply system is a stationary system, to protect it from frost, it is dug into the ground below the freezing level (at least 30 cm deep for a water supply system operated in winter in the Moscow Region). If necessary, they are additionally insulated with foam, cotton wool, polyprene, or any other suitable insulation.

    Important! If the operation of the water supply system is not provided in winter, the insulation will not protect the water in the pipes from freezing. The only protection in this case is a sufficiently deep pipe laying (see table).

    Hose surface water supply system for irrigation

    When the owners come to the dacha quite rarely, and the summer water supply is used mainly for watering plants, a thick garden hose can play its role, connected to any convenient storage tank - a barrel, for example, or directly to borehole pump... The hose reel rolls out quickly for use, and just as easily reels out after finishing work.

    Pump and filters for water supply in the country

    When planning water supply in the country with your own hands, it should be borne in mind that it is based on the use of external (vacuum) or submersible (vibro, rotary) pumps. The vacuum pump is located above ground level, which allows it to be installed directly in the house.

    The power of the pump is determined by its performance. According to the laws of physics, any vacuum pump, regardless of the power of the motor, raises water to a height of no more than 10 m. Therefore, this option is not applicable for deep wells and wells.

    Much great height water lifting is provided by submerged rotary and vibration pumps.

    In contrast to rotary lobe, vibration pumps are distinguished by a simple design, high maintainability and a much lower price. However, due to the transmission of vibration to the water, they contribute to the rapid silting up of the water source.

    Multistage rotary turbo pumps are the best in terms of performance and headroom. The dimensions of such mechanisms are associated with the diameter of the casing pipes of the water well, therefore they are most often used for individual water supply. Rotary lobe pumps are more expensive than vibratory pumps and consume more electricity.

    Organizing water supply in the country with your own hands is only half the battle. The water can be used for irrigation, hand washing and technical use... But, for the preparation of drinks and food, the water must be additionally purified. During filtration, all mechanical impurities are removed from the water, its salt composition is brought in accordance with the requirements of the SES. If the water does not pass the test for bacteriological content, such water can be used only after boiling.

    Reducing water hardness has a beneficial effect on the performance of irrigation systems. When using soft water, nozzles and droppers do not become clogged with deposits and do not require cleaning for several years.

    Preparing summer water supply for winter

    Freezing water during winter frosts can break even metal pipe... Therefore, the summer suburban water supply system is usually disassembled, cleaned, washed, dried and stored in a shed or utility block. An exception is a welded water supply system made of polypropylene pipes laid below the surface freezing boundary.

    If the terrain allows - you can organize the slope of all sections of the water supply to one point to drain the water. When making a water supply system with your own hands, it is important to take into account that the intake of water from an open reservoir (pond, river, reservoir on the territory of the site, well) should be carried out below the maximum permissible ice thickness. That is

    Pipes for stationary water supply must be laid according to the scheme below, and must be insulated from water with a waterproof material. The leveling layer under the pipe must be at least 50 mm and carefully tamped down to prevent subsidence. After laying the pipe, it is covered with sand or gravel 2-3 cm from the bottom of the trench, including the leveling layer. The total height of the trench (indicated by H in the diagram) must be at least 0.5 meters.

    If winter operation is not foreseen, submersible pumps are taken out of the wells to the surface, dried, cleaned of sand and plaque. Inspection required Maintenance and conservation with special grease. The preservation process is always described in detail in the instructions for use of a particular product.

    Outcome

    Since the water supply conditions for various summer cottages are very different, then a single universal recipe to create a plumbing does not exist. But now you know how to make a water supply system in the country with your own hands, and you can easily solve this issue in an accessible way for yourself.

    For comfortable stay in a country house or shed, it is advisable to create minimal amenities, including water. The first thing to do is to equip an autonomous source of water supply: a well, a well, or a storage tank. Next, you need to solve the main problem - to lay a water supply system in the country with your own hands and organize its uninterrupted operation. How this is implemented in practice in various ways is described in this publication.

    Ways of organizing water supply

    For country houses there are 3 options for autonomous water supply:

    • from storage tank installed in the attic;
    • from a well or a closed container using a surface pumping station;
    • from a well with a submersible pump.

    Note. From a shallow well (up to 8 m), water can be pumped with the same pumping station, and for a well or container it can be used submersible pump... But for a summer residence, the latter solution is not economically justified, since the price of downhole equipment is higher than that of surface equipment.

    Choice suitable system largely depends on the source of the water supply. The option with a well is the most costly, especially when there is no well at the site. You are unlikely to manage drilling on your own, you will have to contact specialists and pay money. In addition, you need to purchase a submersible pump and a connection cable, laid together with the water supply. Devoted to the solution of this issue.

    A well or a pit for a water tank is dug out by hand in 1-2 days, plus another day for arrangement. There are two cost items: the purchase of reinforced concrete rings and the application of waterproofing, which is cheaper than drilling and installing a casing with a column. If it is not possible to get to the aquifers, an option is implemented with a capacity of 3-10 m³, filled from a tanker truck.

    Scheme with an attic tank

    This is the most cheap way organize an autonomous water supply to the cottage, used in small houses With gable roof... The bottom line is simple: any suitable tank is placed in the attic - a tank or several barrels with a total volume of 200-600 liters, from where water flows into the summer cottage by gravity. There is no accumulator and automation, only internal wiring to the toilet and bathroom.

    Such a system is attractive to users for the following reasons:

    • minimum costs for the purchase of plumbing and pipelines;
    • the container is filled with any pump unit through a hose;
    • if the tank is insulated, then the circuit is capable of functioning in winter.

    Reference. Filling an attic tank is usually done from a well using a simple centrifugal pump used for irrigation garden plot and vegetable garden.

    The main disadvantage of the system lies in gravity: the more the tank is emptied, the weaker the pressure in the water supply network. Some modern sanitary appliances (for example, shower stalls) do not work without backing from the mains. The same goes for storage boilers for hot water supply. Well, the owner himself is troublesome once a week, or even more often, to refill the tank.

    Pumping station system

    This circuit with automatic water supply in the country provides constant pressure in the network and consists of the following elements:

    • pipeline with a check valve at the end, immersed at a level of 30 cm from the bottom of the well;
    • a pumping station complete with a hydraulic accumulator and a pressure switch, which is responsible for turning off and starting the engine (in common parlance - hydrophore);
    • coarse filter that retains particles larger than 100 microns;
    • dry-running relay (sometimes included in the station kit), which prevents the pump unit from turning on in the absence of water in the line.

    The pump builds up the pressure in the system until the relay is set to a certain pressure. During the draw-off, the rubber "bulb" of the accumulator pushes out the accumulated water supply, after which the pressure drops and the relay starts the electric motor of the station again.

    In terms of implementation, this scheme is more expensive than the previous one, because you will need to buy the listed equipment and materials, and then dig a trench for laying the water supply line. But it is reliable and autonomous in operation, the owner of the house will only occasionally have to spend time on maintenance or reconfiguring the relay.

    About summer plumbing

    The so-called summer water supply in the country is a way to reduce the cost and simplify the previous scheme, used in the warm and transitional period of the year, when the street temperature has not dropped to zero degrees. Instead of a pipeline laid at the bottom of a trench 1 m or more deep, a conventional irrigation hose is used. It is unwound directly on the ground and attached to the pump nozzle, securing it with a clamp. The principle of operation of the circuit and the equipment used remain unchanged.

    An important point. The hose must not be buried in the ground, so it lies on the surface and often gets in the way under your feet. Such a line is susceptible to accidental damage and leaks, it can be simply gnawed by a yard dog. Once empty, the pump will not be able to pump water until you correct the problem and manually prime the hose.

    To avoid trouble, summer water supply is made of cheap plastic pipes - HDPE or PPR, buried 10-20 cm in the ground. Here it is important to observe the slope towards the well and install a drain valve to drain the system in the fall. Another option is to run the pipeline along the wall of the house, as done by the master in the following video:

    Installation instructions

    As mentioned above, a full-fledged "winter" water supply system in the country is hiding from frost in a trench. Its depth depends on the location of the soil freezing boundary, below which it is necessary to descend. If for various reasons this is not feasible, the pipe is buried as deep as possible (at least 1 m) and thoroughly insulated. In some cases, when the line lies close to the surface, it is heated by a special electric cable.

    The stages of work on the device for the country water supply look like this:

    1. Digging a trench and laying a pipeline from home to a well with a water intake device.
    2. Installation of a pumping station (hydrophore) in a technical room with an electrical connection.
    3. Installation of filters, valves and internal wiring.

    Note. After starting the system, it may be necessary to adjust the pressure switch, which we will discuss in the last section.

    Before the main cycle of work, complete the preparation - select a room and a place in it for the installation of the hydrophore and outline the route of the pipeline from the building to the source of water supply. One recommendation: try to drive the track in a straight line that follows the shortest path to your home. If this is not possible, provide for smooth turns of the trench so that underground pipes do not have to be joined with fittings, but bend with an allowable radius.

    We lay the external highway

    The first stage - digging a trench along the intended route, is performed manually. Ideally, you need to go deeper 30 cm below the soil freezing limit and arrange a sand cushion 100 mm high. The latter is not necessary if the water supply is planned to be laid inside the case from sewer pipe PVC with insulation, as shown in the diagram.

    Advice. Dig a trench with a slight slope (5 mm per 1 m length) towards the well to empty the line if necessary. The width of the ditch is arbitrary, but not less than 30 cm, otherwise it will be inconvenient to lay pipes.

    The device of an external water supply from the source to the dacha is made in the following order:

    1. Dig a trench close to the walls of the well and the foundation of the building, as shown in the photo. If the latter does not provide for a mortgage sleeve, then you will have to drill a through hole to enter the pipe into the house. Its diameter must be at least 150 mm. Do the same operation with the wall of the well ring, making an opening of Ø50-100 mm.
    2. Place a sand cushion 10 cm high and lay a 32 mm HDPE pipe along the ditch, leading it into the room and into the well. Another option is trenching PVC pipesØ100 mm (used for sewerage), and stretch the water main inside the resulting case.
    3. Pass through the foundation and the wall of the concrete ring in sleeves with mineral wool insulation.
    4. Install a 90 ° elbow at the end of the pipeline that goes into the well end and connect a vertical section of the water intake with a check valve at the end to it.

    Advice. Do not use polypropylene (PPR) pipes intended only for internal communications for an external underground network.

    Drilling the foundation can be avoided if the water level in the source is low. Then the trench digs deeper, and the pipe starts up in country house under a reinforced concrete base. You should not rush to backfill the ditch. It is done last, when the suburban water supply system is started and tested in operation. How the trench is prepared and, look at the video:

    Installation and connection of the pumping station

    The convenience of installing the hydrophore lies in the fact that the main elements of the system - a pump, a hydraulic accumulator and a pressure switch with a pressure gauge - are already assembled according to the scheme, it remains only to connect the communications. But there are some tricks here, so follow these guidelines when working:

    1. Place the pumping station close to a vertical pipe extending from the floor. The horizontal section from the pump to the inlet should be as short as possible and run with a slope.
    2. Fasten the unit to the floor using vibration dampers.
    3. It is better to connect the supply line to the pump through a strainer installed in a horizontal section.
    4. Most stations have small and inconvenient filler openings. Therefore, at the pump outlet, put a tee and a Ø32 mm branch pipe with a valve for filling the system, as shown in the photo.
    5. Attach a 100 micron water filter to the second branch of the tee, and then distribute communications around the house.

    Since the power consumption of standard pumping stations rarely exceeds 1 kW, it is not necessary to pull a separate electrical line from the shield, it is enough to install a good socket with a grounding contact. If you plan to heat water for hot water supply using an electric boiler, then without laying a separate supply cable and installation circuit breakers not enough. Connect your pumping unit to the same line. How the hydrophore strapping is performed is described in the next video:

    System startup and configuration

    A suction-type surface station can only function with a water-filled pipeline. Therefore, before starting, the line must be filled with water through the previously provided neck. The check valve installed at the water intake end will prevent it from flowing into the well. Fill the system slowly, letting the air escape through the top, then turn off the tap and turn on the pump. If everything is done correctly, there will be no problems with the water supply.

    If you are not satisfied with the factory settings of the pressure switch (upper limit - 2.8 bar, lower limit - 1.4 bar), then proceed as follows:

    1. Switch off the unit, unscrew and remove plastic cover pressure switch.
    2. By turning the nut on the large spring with a wrench, change the value of the trip threshold. A nut on a small spring adjusts the delta between the high and low limit.
    3. Check the operation of the unit and close the relay cover.

    Having completed a successful start, check the entire street pipeline for leaks, after which you can safely bury a trench.

    Conclusion

    Self-laying of the winter version of the water supply system when arranging a summer cottage is a rather laborious process, although not difficult. With no experience plumbing works installation of the main line and pumping equipment with piping will take 1 day excluding ditch digging. Pay special attention to the tightness of the pipe joints: due to the slightest leak, the pipeline will empty overnight, and in the morning the station will not be able to provide water supply.
